When I cut images with the Cricut, I usually cut more than one at time as well as cut different sizes. Whatever I don't use goes into my "CUTS STASH". This stash comes in handy when I want some grass, or something extra for a project quickly. Or when I want to be quiet because everybody else has gone to bed and not run the Cricut because our bed is right on the other side of the wall.
But today after I cut multiple images of this bird to use on a project for a challenge (scroll down to older post to see other bird card for that challenge), I was giggling and telling the birdie he (ok, she) was just too cute to file away. (Yes, I talk to myself all day long and often out loud. No, I don't answer myself. That's when I think I need to worry. hahaha)
I cut the same limb twice at 2 different sizes and adhered the smaller one to the end of the larger one making it appear (hopefully) that the branch is actually longer.
Here are the details...
Card base lavender from Value pack pre-scored for easy folding!
Pattern papers from DCWV Flower Shower Spring Stack
Solid papers from Recollections
Jewel in flower center from Joann's Busy Kids, Kid's Camp
Sentiment stamp "PARTY AT THE NEST" from Inkadinkadoo
Cricut Cartridge: CREATE A CRITTER
Bird on page 65 cut @ 3 1/2"
Limb on page 25 cut @ 2" and 1 1/2" and adhered end to end
And the only party we are having at our nest right now is a packing party. Won't be long and we'll be leaving beautiful Alaska and heading back down to the lower 48. Gosh, we are really going to miss this place. I'm sure we'll be back living here again one day. Can't wait.
