Finally, a book I didn't want to put down until it's over. I only had a few minutes to read each day, and it was killing me that I couldn't just sit in my rocking chair at home and read until it was finished. But alas, there's that 10 hour work day thing that makes clothes washing, and other household duties come first. Oh well. One day I'll retire... again.

Great book. Loved it! Loved the visions, the growth, the mystery, the suspense, the playful parts and especially MUFFY! .... I'm so going to read book #2 soon. It better be just as good. LOL I need a string of good books for a while!!  Any suggestions?

Beforelife

First of all, this is not the kind of book I would normally read. But every now and then I have to grab something completely different than the same old stuff. 

Second of all, I believe God created heaven and earth, that Jesus Christ is His only Son who paid for our sins, and that the Holy Spirit lives within me everyday.

All of that being said, that doesn't mean I don't enjoy the occasional book with different ideas. It's interesting to see how other people view life and the life after. Their ideas don't threaten me or send me into fits of anger or feeling like I have to push what I believe through their skull with a hammer.

I enjoy reading Harry Potter. Do I believe all of that is real? No, but it doesn't mean I can't enjoy a good story.

Well, this book was interesting. I didn't like some of their ideas. I didn't like taking the Lord's name in vain (because I love God, and want Him to be respected)..... but I couldn't finish this book. I cringe when someone cusses with God's name involved. I just don't like it. I'd rather not hear Him talked about that way. It hurts me to hear His name thrown around like it's meaningless. I love God, and respect Him. Doesn't mean you have to, but it does mean I don't have to read things that I don't want to read.

I politely returned the book. It was a great idea, and I can see how it was going to be very interesting and enjoyable, but I just couldn't keep reading how they referred to the God I love. If that part wasn't in there, I probably would have kept reading.

I thought this was really good. 💕

But I didn't like that the book didn't finish the story at the end... it was a cliffhanger. Sometimes that makes it more exciting to read the next one, but in this case, I was not happy leaving so many questions unanswered. Still, though, it was a good book.

BEING HENRY

The Fonz... and Beyond

Every now and then I like to read a biography or autobiography. I love all the movies Henry Winkler has been in, and remember watching the Fonz on TV growing up. He is a really funny man in all the movies, and so unlike how cool he was as the Fonz in Happy Days.

I thought his biography would be funny too. Life has a way of not always being entertaining. Sometimes Henry shared "too much" with me in his book. LOL Things I really didn't need to know or want to know. hahaha  But it was still enjoyable, especially since he was the one reading his own book for the audiobook version.

Anxious People

by Fredrik Backman

My favorite book of all time is "A Man Called Ove" by Fredrik Backman. The book I'm talking about today, Anxious People, is the 2nd book I've read by the same author. Oh my gosh. I loved it! 💕

All the characters, their individual stories, how the lives of the characters overlapped with other characters... all pieced together bit by bit and lots of "ohhhhh" moments.

So good. Read it. You won't regret it.
