Stampin' Up Project Life Scrapbook Page

Did you all have a great weekend?!
We did. Saturday we went dream car shopping just for fun. Then Tom took us to eat at my favorite restaurant, Carrabba's Italian Grill. The rest of the day I played with my Scrapbook while everyone else did their Saturday thing. On Sunday we went grocery shopping and just hung out on the front screened in porch most of the day enjoying the cooler weather and occasional rain. Tom's mom stopped by for a visit too, and we talked about the half marathon Tom is doing in Lexington in November, and the family vacation in March to Myrtle Beach when he's doing the full marathon. I think she may go with us, all the kids, and the grandkids. It's going to be so fun!

There are two more Project Life pages I completed over the weekend. If you've never tried Project Life style scrapbooking, you may want to give it a try. It's as simple as slipping photos into pockets. You can add filler cards in pockets too. There can be as much embellishment as you want or even just photos and no embellishments. It's up to you. There is no wrong way. I like it because it's fast. It's fun. And the filler cards you can buy come in so many different themes and styles. It's a great, relaxing way to spend an afternoon.

Many different companies offer Project Life or Pocket Style scrapbooking supplies. When I found out that Stampin' Up carries the official Becky Higgins Project Life products, I was very impressed, and excited about that. So far I've only purchased the Happy Times Project Life Bundle. This Bundle comes with the Happy Times photopolymer stamp set, the Happy Times Card Assortment (100 cards in 3 different sizes), and the Happy Times Accessory pack (alpha stickers, washi tape, wood accessories, stickers, etc.) There are several different themes and styles in the Stampin' Up Catalog for Project Life on pages 146 - 147. Check them out. You can view them online too. Here's the link for that.  Don't feel like you have to choose traditional scrapbooking or Project Life. There is no reason why you can't incorporate both into your albums. I do. And many others do too.

Here is the third page I completed over the weekend.
I'll have one more to show you tomorrow.
If you have any questions about Project Life, Stampin' Up, Joining My Team, or anything, do not hesitate to ask. I'll be happy to talk crafting with you!

Custom Stamping on Project Life Cards

Oh how I've missed Project Life Scrapbooking these past couple of months!
Now that I'm catching up, I wish I had more photos so I could keep going with more pages.

Today's post is about custom stamping on Project Life Cards.
Project Life is all about easy, simple, and getting it done.
But for us who were born into the traditional scrapbooking life,
sometimes, just sometimes, it's nice to do a little more.

This morning, while my husband sat in a wing-backed chair relaxing in my craft room,
I did a little custom stamping on one of my Stampin' Up Project Life cards from the Happy Times collection. I was am so tickled with how this card turned out!

I used some scrap paper and old (non-SU) washi tape, to mask off areas I didn't want any stamping. Then I pulled out my favorite stamp set EVER, and started doin' my thing.
I loved how it looked right away, and when I pulled away the masking,
I was thrilled with the affect.

Lovely As A Tree Thank You Tag & Video!

Welcome to my blog!
Have you guys been crafting this week? I've been doing a little. Mostly trying to plan some fun things for next month on my blog for you guys. There are some exciting things happening here in September. Keep your eyes out for fun stuff.

This morning I made a simple Thank You tag. I'm using this design for my August Stampin' Up order Thank You's.  These are tags that are sent out blank and those who receive them, can use them when they need a little thank you for someone. I slip in a separate note of thanks in the envelope.

I used a Stampin' Write marker to color the top of the tree,
and my Aqua Painter to watercolor the tree trunk.
The Ribbon I used is not in the list below because it's a new item in the
Holiday Mini catalog available to order Sept 1st.
Into the Woods 3/8" Cotton Ribbon #139612, 10 yards, $6.00

If you would like to re-create this design, it's super simple to do. Here are the supplies you need. Just click on the photos to hop over to my online store 24/7 to order. If you are ordering before Sept 10th, please use Hostess code WVM2CXS4. However, if your order is $150 or more, don't use it, because you will receive your own Hostess Benefits! If you'd like to have an online Party with me, let me know. I'll create a Hostess Code for you to share with your friends so that you can receive Hostess Benefits toward Free and Half Price Stampi' Up product!

Weight Watchers Wednesday

Hi, everyone!

I'm happy to report that Tom made it back from Canada safe and sound after being away for two weeks. I struggled with my eating while he was gone. I would skip meals, not track, snack too often, not to mention my 2-day chocolate fest.

Even after all of that, I weighed exactly to the ounce what I did last week.
I don't deserve that blessing, but I'll take it!
Now, it's time to get back on track and do this thing.
Do you know how hard it is to be good after you've slipped into laziness?
Don't ever find out. Just keep doing what you're suppose to be doing. Much less work that way.

See you again next week!

P.S. I just want to say. I am so happy and excited to be a Stampin' Up demonstrator again. It's silly how something like that can get me excited and make me smile at random times during the day. My Starter Kit came Monday, and I am having so much fun planning projects and videos for you guys. I'm even working on coming up with a Monthly Featured Stamp or some sort of Monthly Club for you guys. If you have any questions about Stampin' Up, or would like to JOIN MY TEAM, I'd love to hear from you!
Hugs!

Treat Box & Silhouette News

Oh my gosh! Have you seen the new section in the Silhouette Store?
It's called, "Ready, Set, Make" and reminds me of the Cricut "Make It Now" section in their store.
I LOVE IT! Take a look at it here.

This box is NOT from that section (that I know of), I got it last week and was excited to make this file over the weekend. Easy, Fast, and CUTE!

Sil ID# 85482 Daisy Gable Box

I re-sized the box to a larger size, and it looks like I forgot to re-size the daisy. Oh well, it's still pretty even though it's not nearly as big as it would have been if everything was re-sized together.

In addition to the products listed below that were used in this project,

I also used 2014 Designer Series Paper - Subtles Collection.

The 2015-2016 Designer Series Papers have new patterns.

Mini Card with Watercolor Background Technique & a VIDEO!

Happy weekend, Stampers!
I can't wait to tell you how I created this watercolor background
on my Mini Card. So easy.
I grabbed one of my acrylic stamping blocks.
Grabbed a Stampin' Up Stampin' Write Marker.
Scribbled heavily on the acrylic block.
Used a spritzer to spray some water on the ink on the block.
Pressed it onto white cardstock.
Voila!
Handmade watercolor background.
You can try this blending different colors too.
I played around and made several backgrounds with different colors just for grins and giggles.

Special Announcement & Besties Card & Gift

Hi, everyone, and welcome to Friday.  I'm so excited because Tom (my husband) has been in Canada for two weeks, and he's coming home today! Please pray for safe travels and no unexpected flight delays for him. I can't wait to have him home. He's been gone too long. (Okay, so it's only been 2 weeks, but overnight is too long for me.)

I've been posting some Stampin' Up projects and links on my blog this week, but I haven't really made an official announcement..... so.....
I'm thrilled, excited, and elated to announce that I have rejoined the Stampin' Up family. I love their products and decided this is crazy paying full retail. I should just sign up and use my own discount again.

I've also subscribed to Stampin' Up's monthly project kit called PAPER PUMPKIN. It's a great way to try their products, collect their ink colors, and make some projects that are all pre-measured, pre-cut, pre-scored and ready for your assembly. It's fun!  They have really put a lot of attention to detail in these kits, and they have grown into something pretty spectacular since they first came out a few years ago. They were great then, but they are remarkable now. You can get your first 2 months half off by joining before September 10th! Use code HALFOFF at this link!

Here is a project I made for PDE Linky Party's BESTIES CARD which is the theme this week. I used the August Paper Pumpkin kit. (This kit makes 6 cards - 2 different styles, and 3 boxes.)

Built for Free Using: My Stampin Blog

Isn't this gorgeous? I love that big pink flower. If you have any questions, please leave me a comment. Thanks for stopping by today! Enjoy your weekend. See you tomorrow.
