Sympathy Card
Hi, everyone.
Sympathy cards are the one thing none of us want to make a batch of ahead of time. Unfortunately, I am in need of one today. My uncle died yesterday. He was very sick. He had Lewy Body Syndrome and Parkinson's and Cancer. My faith tells me he is fine. In fact, he is completely healed now and blessed to now see Jesus face to face. My heart hurts for my aunt's loss, my cousins, my mama who lost her brother yesterday, and all of the family and friends who are feeling his loss. Death is a horrible thing for those left behind. The feeling of loss and the pain of separation. I will tell you though, my family and I believe that death of the physical body does not have to be death of the spirit as well. We trust and believe that everything Jesus said is true and trustworthy. We believe physical death is a transition from this physical world to the spiritual one because who we are, our souls, what makes us - us, never dies. We just change where we live from here on Earth to Heaven with God.
I'm sharing all of this with you today because I feel the urge to do so. You see my crafty side on this blog and my journal on Wednesdays where I discuss my weight loss journey. But I rarely share my faith with you. If you read my blog enough, you know what I believe from things I say now and then. Today I just felt like going into a little more detail about my faith.
This card base and envelope (which I forgot to photograph, but it's just an envelope) come together in one file from Anna's Lovely Layered Cards Cricut cartridge.
The 3D sentiment embellishment on the outside of the card, and the 3D butterfly embellishment on the inside of the card both were part of an Anna Griffin card making kit I bought about 2 years ago from HSN. (I do love me some card kits!)
The oval was cut out with the Cricut also. I just searched for ovals and cut out the first one I saw. I could have used my Cuttlebug and Spellbinder dies for this, but the Cricut was already out and on and just asking me to play with it some more.
Thank you for sitting with me a while. It's so nice to be able to chat with you all every day. Thank you for that.
I am doing a giveaway this week where I will send one commenter the cards I make this week. However, this card will not be part of that bunch. I just wanted to let you know that up front. I don't have enough of the colors I used or the exact same embellishments to make a duplicate card, and I'll be mailing this one to my aunt. I know you understand.
I'll see you again tomorrow.
