#11 of Halloween Card Series

BOO!
Hi, crafters

I have a bunch of Halloween cards to share with you this month. :)
Hope you enjoy them as much as I did making them.

Card #11

This entire card was a Project Card in the Cricut library.
All I did was re-size the entire thing to fit an A2 size card.
Super easy

All of the cards in this series used the
Echo Park, Halloween Magic 6x6 paper pad.

There is a total of 18 cards - and I still had lots
of design paper left over from this pad! WOW!

All cards used solid cardstock from stash
Some cards have ribbon from various companies

Cards with sentiments are from various companies such as:
Cardz TV Stamps
Close To My Heart
Simon Says Stamp

I tried to keep everything fairly simple
and flat for mailing with the exception
of ribbon and bows now and then.

I really wanted to add some gems, sequins, and enamel dots,
but decided to stay with the flat clean & simple approach for these.
But believe me, the struggle was real to not add some bling!

Happy Halloween!
:) Janis

#8 of Halloween Card Series

   BOO !
Hi, crafters

Today is my hubby's birthday!
Happy birthday, Tom!!!!

I have a bunch of Halloween cards to share with you this month. :)
Hope you enjoy them as much as I did making them.

Card #8

Another favorite of mine in this series.
Frankie is just so cute...

This was one of the last cards I created in this series, even though I'm posting him fairly early on. I was starting to run out of non-cut pattern paper, and having to use what I had and make it work. So when you start to see cards with multiple background patterns, you'll know it was me using up every scrap piece I could find to fill in the background,

The sentiment on this card was stamped on the back of a purple ticket. I have 2 ticket rolls (purple and sand colored backgrounds) that I use fairly often to hold my sentiments for cards. They are a perfect size, and so cheap to buy. Plus it's one less tool (Big Shot, dies, punches) I have to pull out to frame my sentiments. Sometimes, I'm just lazy like that... wait, I mean CREATIVE like that. hahahahaha

#2 of Halloween Card Series

 BOO !
Hi, crafters

Personal Note:
Tom's surgery was postponed until the end of the month.
Thank you all for your prayers and comments yesterday.
Please continue to pray for him for his new surgery date.
Thank you so much!

I have a bunch of Halloween cards to share with you this month. :)
Hope you enjoy them as much as I did making them.

Card #2

This is one of my favorites in this series.
Why? It's the green background, I think. Plus the very large "Happy Halloween" stamp. I was going to save it for a later date in October to publish it, but he was too cute not to go ahead and post earlier rather than later. LOL

#13 CTMH Layout Series (Together) - Last One in this kit Series

  Hi, everyone!

(please note: this kit is no longer available)

Today is the LAST LAYOUT  in my Close To My Heart (CTMH) scrapbook layout series from a kit I purchased a few years ago. I'm just now getting around to using it. It was designed to have a cover layout, and then 12 more layouts representing the cover of a wall calendar with an additional layout for each month. (My layouts will be used in my scrapbook instead.) I used products in the kit, but on some pages I added a little extra this & that from my stash.

Top Photo: Sisters Bonnie & Kati
Bottom Photo: Bonnie & Tom at Magnolia Gardens
(such a beautiful place)

This is the last layout from this particulate CTMH layout kit. I have had a blast creating these easy to assemble layouts. The hardest part was picking out photos to use. I have so many photos left over! I guess I need to make some more layouts. LOL

Thank you SO much for visiting me every day and leaving comments. If you are new here, I'd love you to continue to visit & leave a comment letting me know.

Personal Note:
Please pray for my husband, Tom. He has been poked, prodded, examined, tested, scanned, imagined, etc for the last few months. At first the doctor was convinced it was cancer. But when the biopsy came back A-typical (neither confirming or denying cancer), he is thinking it's probably not. Either way, they are removing the affected non-working area, re-routing some things, and he'll be in the hospital a couple days or 3. When they send off what they remove, we will know for sure if it is or is not Cancer.

Anyway, today is Tom's 3rd surgery and most complicated one. Hopefully, this will be the last surgery needed to get him healthy, get rid of the pain and uncomfortableness he's been dealing with, and just basically healed and back to himself again.

I appreciate every prayer spoken for his healing and protection during surgery and afterwards recovering.
Thank you.

I'll try to get some things scheduled to post to my blog while we are out of town, but if not, I'll be back on here as quickly as I can.

Hugs!
:) Janis

#12 CTMH Layout Series (Gather)

 Hi, everyone!

(please note: this kit is no longer available)

We are continuing on in my Close To My Heart (CTMH) scrapbook layout series from a kit I purchased a few years ago. I hope you'll enjoy these as much as I enjoyed making them.

Another fun, colorful page!
Top left - daughter, Kati, and her husband
Top right - daughter, Keri, and her 4 boys
Bottom left - moi & Kati
Bottom right - Kati and my grandson, Erik

(Completely off topic - I love the way our daughter, Keri, name each of her four boys using letters from her name: Kevin, Erik, Luke, and Clark... but I digress....)

These layouts from the Cut Above kit are so simple to put together. I love that everything in the kit is pre-cut and measured. All you have to do is adhere the pieces to the page. They have written instructions as well as a layout photo with measurements of how far down and over to place the mats / photos / embellishments. I admit though, I just eyeball it. I mean really... are you going to come over and look at my scrapbook and then tell me something isn't centered? It would be the last time you looked at it. I don't need that kind of negativity in my life. hahahahahahaha

Thanks for visiting! I have just ONE MORE layout to share with you on Wednesday made from this one kit. This has been a really fun series. I hope you have enjoyed my photos, layouts, and silliness during all of these posts. I've got another idea up my sleeve for the rest of this month.

See you tomorrow!
Hugs!

#11 CTMH Layout Series (Dream Big)

  Hi, everyone!

(please note: this kit is no longer available)

I used products in the kit, but on some pages I added a little extra this & that from my stash.  I hope you'll enjoy these as much as I enjoyed making them.

This is another one of my favorite layouts in this series. Here we see all of our families (ours & our children's) fun rides. Not all of our rides, but some of them. First there's Tom driving our boat at the lake. Then there's Bonnie riding her trike which she absolutely LOVES to do. And the bottom photo of all the Jeeps are just some of the Jeeps in our family.

Me - orange - front left
Tom - gray truck style Jeep (with some Army green wrap and logos he designed, cut with the Criuct, and put on himself) - behind mine
Kati (daughter) - White right
Jimmy - Red (behind Kati's Jeep)
Our daughter-in-law also has a Jeep - Gray (not shown)

All of us love our Jeeps. Keri also wants to get one, but right now with 4 little ones, what she already has as a daily driver is more practical.

Thanks for visiting! We are almost through with this series. Just TWO more layouts to share from this one kit.

See you tomorrow!

And there's my Bonnie doing one of her favorite things - digging in the dirt. Simple pleasures - it's so relaxing for her. This is our backyard at the lake. We have a lot of plans for this back yard. Already we've built a firepit and a little retaining wall around the stump of a very old tree that fell during a storm (before we lived here). There is a huge lump in the yard where all of the tree roots are. Maybe one day I'll show you all the projects we are doing.

Thanks for visiting! I'll have more layouts from this kit to share with you through the rest of the month (and maybe into October) until the entire kit is made and posted.

See you tomorrow!

#6 CTMH Layout Series (Good Day Sunshine)

  Hi, everyone!

(please note: this kit is no longer available)

We are continuing the Close To My Heart (CTMH) scrapbook layout series from a kit I purchased a few years ago. I hope you'll enjoy these as much as I enjoyed making them.

This simple layout, is one of my favorites because of the silly photos.

My hubby, Tom, is in the top left and bottom right. Just hanging out in both photos. The first photo is at our lake house (but that's our neighbor's home you can see behind him). Bonnie is by him digging in the dirt. Her 2 favorite things to do are riding her trike and digging in the dirt outside. Well, her favorite things to do outside, anyway.

Top right is Tom's Mom. She is so funny. She will complain because Tom doesn't like to get his picture taken, and then when I asked to take a selfie with her, she said, "Don't show my neck! Don't show my face!" I just calmly pointed at Tom and told her, "That's where he gets it from - not wanting to have his picture taken." hahahaha

Then there I am on the bottom left. I've had long hair most of my life, and decided it was time for something dramatically different. I told Tom I was thinking about cutting my hair. He asked how short. I said all of it - off my shoulders, maybe off my neck. I love my husband. Without hesitation, he said, "Do it. It will look good on you." WOW I mean, what the perfect thing to say. Not that it looks good, but that he thinks it will. :)  In case you are wondering how long my hair was.... here ya go....

Thanks for visiting! I'll have more layouts from this kit to share with you through the rest of the month (and maybe into October) until the entire kit is made and posted.

See you tomorrow!
Hugs!
