Sweet Happy New Year

 Hi, friends!

This year is about over, and a new one about to begin.

Ingredients:

Chalked background (so easy and fun)
My Besties pre-colored image
Cardz TV Mini Messages
Stitched dies
Gold Shimmer Ribbon (Amazon)
pattern papers and gems from a pocket letter swap I did (I love the colors!)

I chalked the background. I used to do this all the time, and just forgot about it until today when the white background was begging me to put some chalk on it.
I used pink, green, blue, and lavender.

Thanks for visiting!

Dear Santa

Hi! Hope y'all are having a really good December!

This is a cute little cutting file created by Lori Whitlock. I will admit, I'm awful putting together new things without a tutorial. This file is new, and I didn't see a tutorial for it. I had so much extra cut out paper that I have no idea how this thing is suppose to go together. I just winged it and trashed the leftover cuts.

But it's still CUTE!

You can put something in the drawer and a tag, note, or gift card in the snowman envelope holder thingie.

Thanks for visiting with me today and for always leaving me encouraging comments. I love reading your comments! They always make me smile.

We will be working on the house this weekend. More painting, sawing, sanding... It's suppose to get in the 20's tonight. We don't have central air and heat there, just a few gas heaters in a few different rooms. I hope all of our blankets, layered clothing, and sweaters keep us warm, or I may just park out in from the gas heater and not move at all. It's amazing how stiff I am in the cold. Probably a lot to do with age and arthritis. :)

One of our daughters is eloping this weekend and spending their honeymoon at Disney. We are throwing them a big party when they get back. I'm very much looking forward to that event.

Enjoy your weekend! Stay warm!

Gnome Snow Globe Card

 Hi, everyone!
I hope y'all are having a wonderful December so far.

This little booger took me a bit to create.
It wasn't hard, just a new fold style.
Lori Whitlock has wonderful tutorial videos.
(Thank you, Lori!)

View from looking down on this 3D Snow Globe card.

And it folds nicely for A2 envelopes!
The base can fold up or down
(down shown here).
Lori's video said down was preferred for
A2 envelope mailing.

Ingredients:
Lori Whitlock Gnome Snow Globe box card
Scrap pattern papers
Foam dots for snowflakes

Tada! I did it! I didn't think I'd be able to figure this out, but thanks to Lori Whitlocks tutorial video, I got it done!

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas!

 Who had a fabulous Thanksgiving?!

We stayed home (just the 3 of us) and created a Whole Foods, Plant Based meal. Last year we were vegan too, but I did cheat a little with turkey and ham.

So.... so much has been going on. You've probably noticed I'm not posting daily like I have for years. Well, we have moved (temporarily) just so we can work on the house easier without living in it.

Our darling, Ginger, passed away on November 20th. She was 6 years old. My heart is broken. I was able to pick up her ashes a couple of days ago.

And... this has nothing to do with why I've been busy, but I'm so happy that I've lost over 40 pounds.

Now... on to some crafty funness...

Adorable image from Imagine That Digistamp
Marleen's Christmas Stocking
Sizzix die for goody pocket
Jingle Bell (from Santa's sleigh that fell off last year and rollled down our roof into the snow)
Stitched dies from Amazon
Ribbon from stash
Krispy Kreme DOUGHNUTS card (from our grandson's fundraiser)
Who doesn't LOVE doughnuts?!

This project created especially for the Imagine That Progressive Challenge.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend, everyone.

Thanksgiving Pocket Letter

 Hi, everyone!

Today begins a new challenge over at my blog
Crafting Happiness Challenges.

Ch# 23 Turkey and / or Pilgrims

I decided to make a pocket letter for this challenge. I sat down and made a few of these with using some of the same Cricut cuts and then adding a little bit of different flare and papers to each one. I'm just so burnt out on card making. I still make them, but it's time to move on to something else for a while.

Supplies:
Cricut cuts
Sheer Ribbon
Extra Thick Twine
Ribbon
Pattern Papers
Washi Tape
Pocket Letter Page

Thanks for visiting with me today.
I so enjoy reading all of the comments you leave me.
Would love to hear from you today.

Enjoy your day,
:) Janis

Anything But a Card Challenge

It's No Cards - Anything But a Card challenge time at my Crafting Happiness Challenge blog this week. Come join us!

You'll notice I have 3 different pocket letters I created this month using some of the same die cut images from the Cricut library. The colors may alter a bit on the die cuts, but the pocket letters also have slight differences to them as well.  I'm in a pocket letter swap group on Facebook (which I love), so I was doing a little bit of mass producing with the die cuts and papers.

Supplies:
pocket letter base
washi tape
Cricut die cuts
bookmark created in Cricut
Extra thick twine
ribbon
ink
buttons
flowers
stamped sentiments

Thanks for stopping by today.
:) Janis
