Let's Paint Flowers

 Good morning, everyone!

Bonnie, Kati, and I decided to paint some flowers Sunday afternoon. Bonnie & I just got some new paints in, and it was fun to open them up and play a little.

Now, I know I'm no artist.
But does it really matter? We had fun!

We all looked at the same picture from Google.

My flower painting

Bonnie's (our special needs daughter)

Kati (our art teacher daughter)

I love them all!

Craft Chair Vinyl Fun

 Good morning, everyone!

My niece recently told me that she wants to start making cards and scrapbooking. Oh be still my heart. I am so excited!

She came over this week, and I taught her how to use the Cricut, cut vinyl, and we made a couple of scrapbook pages together. It was so much fun.

So I decided to decorate the folding chair she uses while she's here just for fun. It was so easy, and I love the colors and how it turned out. She's tickled about it too which also makes me smile.

Remember, our home is a construction zone, hence the open outlets in the background. But that isn't the craft room, so don't worry, those are not active outlets at this time.

Let's Craft & Create - February Challenge

 Good morning, everyone!

Let's Craft & Create has an easy challenge for all of you this month. "Red, Pink and/or White"

Thank you so much for stopping by. Today I have a very special double scrapbook layout to share with you.

One of our daughters eloped last December. It was a planned elopement (seems to be something pretty common in 2020 with all the 'Rona scare). Here are some pictures of her special wedding day. (Apt. B Photography)

They went to Savannah, Georiga. The wedding was first thing in the morning. It was raining, and a little chilly, but it worked out perfectly because all of the tourists saw rain and cold weather and stayed indoors. They had the entire park to themselves.

"Forever & Always"

We are so happy for them. Since it was a planned elopement, we booked a venue and threw a grand party when they returned from their honeymoon. We had it catered and an incredible DJ. It was so much fun!! It was raining this evening too, and on the cold side. The "crowd" was a small one (just family members and a few co-workers), but everyone had a blast.

I don't drink, but I did a taste test for the custom special drink. Don't ask me what the official name of it was, but I think it was Vodka Peppermint Schapps with a mini candy cane crushed around the rim or a mini candy cane hooked on the rim. The two sips I had... delicious.

We danced, laughed, took silly photos, ate, danced some more... loved it. You should have seen Tom doing the twist!

Don't forget to link up your crafts this month at Let's Craft & Create with your "Red, Pink and/or White" crafty projects.

Thank you for visiting.
I really appreciate your visits and comments.

Have a glorious day,
:) Janis

Traditional Scrapbook Layout for 2 Different Sizes

 Good morning, everyone!

Here is a layout I made that will fit with 2 different sizes of scrapbooking styles. These photos are of me and my husband, Tom; and Tom with our special needs daughter, Bonnie. They were taken last month at our daughter's wedding celebration party when they got back from their honeymoon. What a fabulous night! Lots of dancing. Lots of laughing. Just good family fun.

This was created on cardstock 8 1/2" x 11".
I used a Close To My Heart scrapbook layout for this size in Cricut Design Space.

Products from Close To My Heart:

Both of the fat arrow and hearts were cut out pieces of other designs on this layout

I did add the "Thankful" cut (CTMH cricut image set)

 Blessed Beyond Measure stamp set

Cardstock and papers from Magical kit

Here is the same layout designed for 12" x 12" scrapbooking:

LOVE was punched out with from a Pocket Scrapbooking card included in the Magical kit.

The heart border at the bottom was the tiny strip of paper that's above the 12x12 pattern sheets.

The background pattern paper was cut out of the same blue sheet I used for the 12x12 background.

Same thing for the red background paper.

That's it! I know this was long Thanks for hanging in there, and thanks for visiting / commenting!

Update on Wedding Photos posted below

 Good morning, everyone!

I just wanted to point out the significance of the 2 metal heart charms I added to the Pocket insert on the layout posted yesterday.

It is my belief that when you marry, its more than just a legal piece of paper. There's something much deeper that you can't see happening.

Genesis 2:20-24 (NIV)
That is why a man leaves his father and mother and is united to his wife, and they become one flesh.

The metal heart charms are there as a reminder that two hearts now beat as one.

I'll be back later on tomorrow with a traditional style scrapbook layout that will fit in an 8 1/2" x 11" album/notebook.
Hope to see you then!

Wedding Pocket Scrapbooking

 Good afternoon, everyone!

I wanted to share some wedding photos from one of our daughter's who had a planned elopement in December. Seems like that's the new thing with all this 'Rona scare. I remember thinking last year, all this COVID stuff would get back to normal by the time the schools were back from their Spring break. bahahaha Boy was I wrong.

Anyway, I digress...

Here are 4 pocket scrapbooking style pages I created with Close To My Heart supplies. I added a couple of metal heart charms from my stash and still want to embellish and do some documenting, but I couldn't wait to share these, so here ya go.

(Apt. B Photography)

On Friday, I'll be posting a traditional double layout of their wedding with different photos. I like both styles of scrapbooking.

I'm a new CTMH Maker again.
(can I say new and again in the same sentence?)
