Hope It's Your BEST. DAY EVER.

This one feels like the start of a really good day… the kind you don’t overplan.

Rod in hand, hat pulled low, and not a single hurry in sight—he looks like he knows exactly what today is for. Not catching the biggest fish… just being there for the moment.

I kept the layers bold but grounded, letting those rich greens and textures feel a little like nature itself—simple, steady, and full of quiet life. It frames the scene without taking away from it.

And that sentiment—“Hope it’s your BEST. DAY. EVER.”—doesn’t feel loud here… it feels genuine. Like a wish you actually mean.

This card feels calm… but not sleepy—more like content.

Moral of the story: The best days aren’t rushed… they’re lived.

Now I’m curious… What would your “best day ever” look like?

Hold Onto The Fun

This one feels like a burst of energy that refused to stay still.

Hair flying, toes barely touching the ground, and that oversized beach ball like it’s the most important mission of the day—she’s all in, no hesitation. It’s playful, a little chaotic, and completely joyful.

I leaned into those bold colors and fruity patterns to match that energy. It’s bright, a little unexpected, and full of movement… like summer decided to show up all at once.

This card doesn’t sit quietly—it shows up, laughs loudly, and invites you to join in.

Moral of the story: Sometimes the best moments are the ones where you just jump in and enjoy it.

Now I’m curious… When was the last time you let yourself be a little carefree?

Sweet Daydreams & Sunny Moments

This one feels like a little pause in the middle of a happy thought.

She’s sitting there, chin in her hands, completely lost in her own little world—like she’s replaying something sweet or dreaming up what comes next. And those soft hearts behind her? It’s like we’re getting a peek inside her thoughts.

  • Surfer Girl
  • Stampin' Up - Ink, Cardstock, Pattern Papers
  • Die-Cut - Amazon
  • Foam tape to pop up image of surfer girl

I had fun layering everything just a bit off-center, almost like those thoughts are floating around and landing wherever they please. It gives the whole card a light, playful energy without trying too hard.

This one feels soft… hopeful… and just a little bit giddy.

Moral of the story: Sometimes the best moments happen in your imagination first.

Now I’m curious… What’s something you’ve been daydreaming about lately?

Tiny Curiosity, Big Personality

This one feels like a tiny moment caught in the middle of something important… even if we’re not quite sure what it is yet.

That little kitten looks completely focused—like it just discovered something fascinating in the grass and the rest of the world can wait. It’s curious, a little serious, and just the right amount of adorable.

  • Cat in the Garden
  • Stampin' Up - Cardstock, Ink
  • Red - Ribbon and Gems
  • Stampin Up Die Cuts - Layering Squares Scallop edge

I layered in all those soft florals and added a pop of red to keep things playful, but still let that sweet little scene stay front and center. Sometimes it’s the quiet, curious moments that make a card feel the most alive.

This one doesn’t rush… it just pauses and notices.

Moral of the story: There’s magic in paying attention to the little things.

Now I’m curious… What’s something small that made you smile today?

Saddle Up & Dream Big

She doesn’t say much… but you just know she’s going somewhere.

Boots planted, hat tilted just right, and that quiet kind of confidence that doesn’t need to prove a thing. This little cowgirl feels like she already has a plan—she’s just waiting for the right moment to go after it.

I kept the design clean and centered to let her story do the talking. Sometimes the strongest message comes from giving a moment space to breathe… and letting it unfold when the card opens.

And inside—“Follow your dreams.”
Simple words, but they land a little deeper after meeting her.

This one feels steady… determined… and just a little bit brave.

Moral of the story: Big dreams often start with quiet courage.

Now I’m curious… What’s one dream you’ve been holding onto lately?

(If you'd like, share it in the comments.)

Froggie Cards: Part 4 - Fun Froggie

This card just makes me HAPPY!

  • Cute Frogs  (Affiliate Link)
  • Stampin Up - Cardstock & pattern papers
  • Dies - Rectangle Stiched Round Corners
  • Sticker phrases

Between the bright colors, the playful patterns, and that adorable froggy under his umbrella—it’s impossible not to smile.

The sentiment, start doing things you love,” feels so uplifting and motivating. It’s like a cheerful little push to follow your joy.

I had fun with the layout on this one, especially that folded corner detail—it adds a bit of surprise and dimension that makes the design feel extra special.

The bright orange and yellow tones keep everything warm and energetic, while the stitched border brings in a nice finished touch.

This card is pure sunshine on a rainy day—fun, encouraging, and full of personality.

I hope you have enjoyed each of these 1-4 Froggie ideas for cards.
See you tomorrow.

Froggie Cards: Part 3 - Artys Vibes

This card is bringing ALL the personality today!

  • Cute Frogs  (Affiliate Link)
  • Stampin Up - Cardstock & pattern papers
  • Stamin Up - Shimmer Artsy Background
  • Dies - Rectangle Stitched Round Corners
  • Stamin Up - Basic Gray Ink
  • Sticker phrases

I wanted to try something a little bolder with this one, so I paired this adorable frog with a more artsy, mixed background—and I love how it turned out!

The layers of color and texture behind him give the card a fun, slightly messy (in the best way!) creative feel. It’s like organized chaos… and somehow it just works.

The sentiment, do what you love,” says it all. Short, simple, and powerful.

I added some soft ink blending around the image to frame him and help him stand out against the busier background. That little detail really pulls everything together.

This one feels energetic, creative, and a little bit fearless—just like the message itself.

Life Is Better With Friends Like You

This one feels like a little surprise tucked into your day.

That sweet dino, flowers in hand, looks so hopeful—like it showed up just to make someone smile. Not over-the-top, not complicated… just a simple, thoughtful moment wrapped in soft colors and a tiny bow.

  • 4.25" x 5.50" Blank Folded Card
  • Whimsical Quirky Dinosaur with Flowers
  • Stitched Sentiment Banners
  • Stitched Rounded Rectangles
  • Stampin' Up items used:
    • Split Card Textures Dies
    • Card base cardstock light purple, and cardstock Rich Razzleberry
    • Rich Razzleberry  - ink & cardstock for die cut
    • Shade of Purple - cardstock base for folded card
    • Stamp Set -  "By My Side" for sentiment
    • Gold Textured Gems
  • Tiny little mini bows from stash

I love the contrast here too—the bold background paired with such a gentle character. It’s like a quiet reminder that kindness can stand out in the best way.

There is so much JOY in creating. Do you feel that way too?

For me it's relaxing and calming for my soul.

This card doesn’t try to impress… it chooses to care.

Moral of the story: The simplest gestures are often the ones we remember the longest.

Now I’m curious: When was the last time someone’s small kindness completely made your day?

This little frog with her umbrella and bow is just the sweetest thing—and she brings such a gentle, heartfelt feel to this card.

The sentiment, be you, bravely,” really sets the tone. It’s soft, encouraging, and full of quiet strength.

I layered warm peach and green tones to keep everything cozy and inviting. The crisscross patterns add interest without taking away from that adorable focal image.

And those little raindrops? They just add the perfect touch of whimsy—like she’s standing strong even on a rainy day.

Froggie Cards: Part 1 - Die-Cuts

Today starts a new short series of FROGS and FUN BACKGROUNDS.
There are two different images for the frogs, but 4 different ways to create a fun, unique card. Creating different cards like this is always fun and a little challenging too.

Okay… I dare you to look at this face and not smile LOL

This little froggy completely stole my heart, and I just had to build a card around his big-eyed, hopeful expression. There’s something so joyful and innocent about him—it instantly makes you feel lighter.

The sentiment, the impossible is often the untried,” felt like the perfect match. It’s encouraging without being heavy… just a sweet little nudge to go for it.

I layered him with bright pink and soft green patterns to keep things fun and cheerful. The dotted frame adds just enough detail, while those little enamel dots bring in playful pops of color.

This card feels like a tiny cheerleader in paper form—and honestly, who doesn’t need that once in a while?

  • Cute Frogs
  • Stampin Up - Cardstock & pattern papers
  • Dies - Sizzix Dotted Circles
  • Glitter Enamel Dots
  • Sticker phrases

Whimsical Fairy Card: Reminder You're a Work of Art

Hello Crafters!

Today’s card feels like it came straight out of a storybook—soft, whimsical, and full of gentle charm. I wanted to create something that felt both encouraging and beautiful, and this sweet Fairy resting on mushrooms was the perfect focal point.

I started with a kraft card base to ground all the softer elements. From there, I layered patterned papers along the left side—one with a cheerful yellow dot and another in a soft teal—to add contrast and visual interest.

The bold red background really makes everything pop, especially with the subtle stenciled texture that adds depth without overwhelming the design.

The fairy image is truly the heart of this card. I added dimension to bring her forward and softly inked around the edges to give her that warm, glowing outline. She feels peaceful and dreamy—like she’s paused in a quiet moment.

“You are a fabulous work of art”

Such a meaningful message that pairs beautifully with the artistic feel of the card. I placed it on a stitched label and angled it slightly for a relaxed, layered look.

To finish things off, I added a few gold embellishments for a touch of sparkle. They catch the light just enough and bring a little magic to the overall design.

Perfect For:

  • Encouragement
  • Thinking of You
  • A thoughtful note to a friend
  • A reminder that someone is truly special

Supplies Used

  • Fairy focal image - Whimsical Spring Fairy (affiliate link)
  • Kraft cardstock (card base)
  • Patterned papers from Stampin' Up - Festive Foils  (yellow,  teal, & red)
  • Sentiment stamp from Stampin' Up - Work of Art
  • Stitched label die
  • Ink for blending edges - Stampin Up - Cherry Cobbler
  • Gold embellishments
  • Adhesive (including dimensional foam)

I love how this card turned out—soft, layered, and full of heart. Sometimes the simplest message paired with a beautiful image can say exactly what someone needs to hear.

Whimsical handmade fairy card featuring layered papers, soft textures, and a heartfelt sentiment.  Perfect for encouragement cards or inspirational crafting ideas.

Pause, Dream, Enjoy: A Faith-Inspired Door Card

Today’s card was created during a quiet moment
I didn’t even realize I needed.

Sometimes, in the middle of everyday life, we’re given a small invitation—
to slow down, to create, and to simply be. This project became one of those moments for me.

As I worked on this door design, I was reminded
that God often meets us in the pause—

in the stillness, in the creating, and in the smallest details.

This card became more than just a project…
it became a gentle invitation:

To trust His timing.
To dream with Him.
And to truly enjoy the blessings already around us.

Card Style: Vertical Open

Theme: Faith-Inspired Encouragement

Sentiment: Pause. Dream. Enjoy.

Materials:

  • Image - Whimsical Magical Door Entrance Clipart (affiliate link)
  • Sentiment - Stamin' Up set "In The Moment"
  • Stampin' Up - Card base Cardstock
  • Stampin' Up ink - Shaded Spruce
  • Dies - Stitched Postage Stamp

There’s something special about creating with your hands—it creates space for your heart to slow down and listen.

Maybe today is your reminder to pause…
to breathe deeply…
and to notice the beauty God has already placed in your life.

If this encouraged you, feel free to share it or save it for later 💛

“Be still, and know that I am God.” — Psalm 46:10

Janis Lewis
