Froggie Cards - Part 2: Sweet & Brave

This little frog with her umbrella and bow is just the sweetest thing—and she brings such a gentle, heartfelt feel to this card.

The sentiment, “be you, bravely,” really sets the tone. It’s soft, encouraging, and full of quiet strength.

I layered warm peach and green tones to keep everything cozy and inviting. The crisscross patterns add interest without taking away from that adorable focal image.

And those little raindrops? They just add the perfect touch of whimsy—like she’s standing strong even on a rainy day.

This card feels like a hug. The kind you send when someone needs a little courage and a reminder that who they are is more than enough.

Froggie Cards: Part 1 - Whimsical Focus

Today starts a new short series of FROGS and FUN BACKGROUNDS.
There are two different images for the frogs, but 4 different ways to create a fun, unique card. Creating different cards like this is always fun and a little challenging too. 

Okay… I dare you to look at this face and not smile LOL

This little froggy completely stole my heart, and I just had to build a card around his big-eyed, hopeful expression. There’s something so joyful and innocent about him—it instantly makes you feel lighter.

The sentiment, “the impossible is often the untried,” felt like the perfect match. It’s encouraging without being heavy… just a sweet little nudge to go for it.

I layered him with bright pink and soft green patterns to keep things fun and cheerful. The dotted frame adds just enough detail, while those little enamel dots bring in playful pops of color.

This card feels like a tiny cheerleader in paper form—and honestly, who doesn’t need that once in a while?

Whimsical Fairy Card: Reminder You're a Work of Art

Hello Crafters!

Today’s card feels like it came straight out of a storybook—soft, whimsical, and full of gentle charm. I wanted to create something that felt both encouraging and beautiful, and this sweet Fairy resting on mushrooms was the perfect focal point.

 

I started with a kraft card base to ground all the softer elements. From there, I layered patterned papers along the left side—one with a cheerful yellow dot and another in a soft teal—to add contrast and visual interest.

The bold red background really makes everything pop, especially with the subtle stenciled texture that adds depth without overwhelming the design.

The fairy image is truly the heart of this card. I added dimension to bring her forward and softly inked around the edges to give her that warm, glowing outline. She feels peaceful and dreamy—like she’s paused in a quiet moment.

“You are a fabulous work of art”

Such a meaningful message that pairs beautifully with the artistic feel of the card. I placed it on a stitched label and angled it slightly for a relaxed, layered look.

To finish things off, I added a few gold embellishments for a touch of sparkle. They catch the light just enough and bring a little magic to the overall design.

• A reminder that someone is truly special

• Fairy focal image - Whimsical Spring Fairy (affiliate link)
• Kraft cardstock (card base)
• Patterned papers from Stampin' Up - Festive Foils  (yellow,  teal, & red)
• Sentiment stamp from Stampin' Up - Work of Art
• Stitched label die
• Ink for blending edges - Stampin Up - Cherry Cobbler
• Gold embellishments
• Adhesive (including dimensional foam)

I love how this card turned out—soft, layered, and full of heart. Sometimes the simplest message paired with a beautiful image can say exactly what someone needs to hear.

Whimsical handmade fairy card featuring layered papers, soft textures, and a heartfelt sentiment.  Perfect for encouragement cards or inspirational crafting ideas.

Horse Greetings with a Gatefold Card

Happy Friday, everyone! Today I have an adorable Horse as the focus of a Gatefold card. Hope you enjoy it!

• White cardstock base
• Some shiny gems were were added to a few of the flowers
• Stampin'Up Cardstock and Flowered paper using SU Hues of Happiness

• Look how adorable that Horse is!
• You can find that image at Creative Fabrica with this link:

• I used Stampin' Up Highland Heather to ink around the image
• Twine was added to the bottom of the image just for fun
• Die cut - Rectangle with stitching and rounded corners
  
• I used 2 strips of foam tape to adhere the Horse to the left side and give him a little lift off the page

• More shiny gems added to the right side :)

• The inside! 
• Die Cut for inside from Amazon
• Again, I inked around the edges to give it some dimension
• Some speckles were added with the same ink and sprinkled around
• Sentiment stamp from Close To My Heart

Pause, Dream, Enjoy: A Faith-Inspired Door Card

Today’s card was created during a quiet moment
I didn’t even realize I needed.

Sometimes, in the middle of everyday life, we’re given a small invitation—
to slow down, to create, and to simply be. This project became one of those moments for me.

As I worked on this door design, I was reminded

that God often meets us in the pause—

in the stillness, in the creating, and in the smallest details.

This card became more than just a project…
it became a gentle invitation:

To trust His timing.
To dream with Him.
And to truly enjoy the blessings already around us.

Now onto today's card.....

I pulled out some scrap pattern paper for this one. All of the papers were edged with stamping ink (except the sentiment). I love how it gave this card more depth.

The image was made into a Vinyl sticker with a border cut around it. It's really easy to turn digi images into stickers, backgrounds, and many other things.

• Echo Park "My Favorite Summer" 6x6 paper pad - All pattern papers for this card
• Stampin' Up ink -  Starry Sky - Edged around all the paper edges (except the sentiment)
• Fancy Label Dies for Sentiment
• Stampin' Up Sentiment - Sunny Splash set
• Foam Adhesive - to adhere the die cut and stamped sentiment

It's Always the Small Pieces That Make the Big Picture

Oh my gosh..... The weekend has arrived! Woo-Hoo!

Today I made a new card with the same image I used last Wednesday, but the card for today uses a different layout and supplies.

Isn't she cute!!  I thought about putting some Googlie eyes on her, but decided that took away from her adorable eyes.

Keep Smiling

Hello, my Crafty Friends!

Today I have a couple of Rain cards to share with you. Everything is the same except on one card I tilted the image frame slightly. It's amazing how a small change like that can really make a difference on your card making.

I hope your week is going well. I'm loving all the flowers blooming and birds singing in our backyard. If it would just get a bit warmer. :)

Today I have a beautiful card to share with you. I'll include Affiliate links for items I used. This was very simple to create.

• I printed out as a sticker (that's always fun)

I had some leftover gorgeous paper, so I added a column of it inside the card. There is still plenty of room to write out a message.

Spring is in the Air!  Oh, and the pollen is too. LOL

Today I'm sharing a cute card that was easy to pull together quickly.

• Stampin' Up Layering Squares (die cuts) for framing the kitty.
• The sentiment from my stash. I cut the sticker paper so I could stack the message.
