Hello Crafters!
Today’s card feels like it came straight out of a storybook—soft, whimsical,
and full of gentle charm. I wanted to create something that felt both
encouraging and beautiful, and this sweet Fairy resting on mushrooms was the
perfect focal point.
I started with a kraft card base to ground all the softer elements. From
there, I layered patterned papers along the left side—one with a cheerful
yellow dot and another in a soft teal—to add contrast and visual interest.
The bold red background really makes everything pop, especially with the
subtle stenciled texture that adds depth without overwhelming the design.
The fairy image is truly the heart of this card. I added dimension to bring
her forward and softly inked around the edges to give her that warm, glowing
outline. She feels peaceful and dreamy—like she’s paused in a quiet
moment.
“You are a fabulous work of art”
Such a meaningful message that pairs beautifully with the artistic feel of the
card. I placed it on a stitched label and angled it slightly for a relaxed,
layered look.
To finish things off, I added a few gold embellishments for a touch of
sparkle. They catch the light just enough and bring a little magic to the
overall design.
