#10 CTMH Layout Series (My Happy Place)

  Hi, everyone!

(please note: this kit is no longer available)

We are continuing the Close To My Heart (CTMH) scrapbook layout series from a kit I purchased a few years ago. I'm just now getting around to using it. It was designed to have a cover layout, and then 12 more layouts representing the cover of a wall calendar with an additional layout for each month. (My layouts will be used in my scrapbook instead.) I used products in the kit, but on some pages I added a little extra this & that from my stash.  I hope you'll enjoy these as much as I enjoyed making them.

And there's my Bonnie doing one of her favorite things - digging in the dirt. Simple pleasures - it's so relaxing for her. This is our backyard at the lake. We have a lot of plans for this back yard. Already we've built a firepit and a little retaining wall around the stump of a very old tree that fell during a storm (before we lived here). There is a huge lump in the yard where all of the tree roots are. Maybe one day I'll show you all the projects we are doing.

Thanks for visiting! I'll have more layouts from this kit to share with you through the rest of the month (and maybe into October) until the entire kit is made and posted.

See you tomorrow!
Hugs!

Here's my boy! My one and only son. My oldest offspring. My Jimmy! This young man has a great heart for God, family, and doing the right thing even when it goes against what others would do. I'm so proud of him. The first 2 photos are this year. The last one on the row is from the past.

Thanks for visiting! I'll have more layouts from this kit to share with you through the rest of the month (and maybe into October) until the entire kit is made and posted.

#6 CTMH Layout Series (Good Day Sunshine)

  Hi, everyone!

(please note: this kit is no longer available)

We are continuing the Close To My Heart (CTMH) scrapbook layout series from a kit I purchased a few years ago. I'm just now getting around to using it. It was designed to have a cover layout, and then 12 more layouts representing the cover of a wall calendar with an additional layout for each month. (My layouts will be used in my scrapbook instead.) I used products in the kit, but on some pages I added a little extra this & that from my stash.  I hope you'll enjoy these as much as I enjoyed making them.

This simple layout, is one of my favorites because of the silly photos.

My hubby, Tom, is in the top left and bottom right. Just hanging out in both photos. The first photo is at our lake house (but that's our neighbor's home you can see behind him). Bonnie is by him digging in the dirt. Her 2 favorite things to do are riding her trike and digging in the dirt outside. Well, her favorite things to do outside, anyway.

Top right is Tom's Mom. She is so funny. She will complain because Tom doesn't like to get his picture taken, and then when I asked to take a selfie with her, she said, "Don't show my neck! Don't show my face!" I just calmly pointed at Tom and told her, "That's where he gets it from - not wanting to have his picture taken." hahahaha

Then there I am on the bottom left. I've had long hair most of my life, and decided it was time for something dramatically different. I told Tom I was thinking about cutting my hair. He asked how short. I said all of it - off my shoulders, maybe off my neck. I love my husband. Without hesitation, he said, "Do it. It will look good on you." WOW I mean, what the perfect thing to say. Not that it looks good, but that he thinks it will. :)  In case you are wondering how long my hair was.... here ya go....

Thanks for visiting! I'll have more layouts from this kit to share with you through the rest of the month (and maybe into October) until the entire kit is made and posted.

See you tomorrow!

Haunted House - Halloween Center Step Card

No, it's not too early to start posting Halloween projects.
LOL

Lori Whitlock file, Halloween Center Step Card
CTMH pattern papers, Got Candy? paper & sticker pack

I love these type of fun fold cards!
They are super easy to make and need just a little paper.
The fold itself makes it interesting and fun without adding a lot of bling, ribbon, etc to it. Of course adding those extras don't hurt either. hahaha

Thanks for visiting and commenting. I try to swing by blogs for all of you who comment too. And let me be the first to say...
Happy Halloween!
Boo!

I gotta brag a little bit. We have gorgeous children!
This layout features another one of our daughters, Keri, from a recent photo shoot. I'll go back and add info on the little tab by the bottom photo.

We are almost to the end of this card series.
Last one (and my favorite of all) will be posted tomorrow.

#3 CTMH Layout Series (So Sweet)

  Hi, everyone!

Don't forget to order your BOO CREW!
I'll be receiving my order early in the week,
and will be posting projects created with it! Fun!!

Layout #3 using Cut Above kit Memories in the Making 2018

(please note: this kit is no longer available)

We are continuing the Close To My Heart (CTMH) scrapbook layout series from a kit I purchased a few years ago. I'm just now getting around to using it. It was designed to have a cover layout, and then 12 more layouts representing the cover of a wall calendar with an additional layout for each month. (My layouts will be used in my scrapbook instead.) I used products in the kit, but on some pages I added a little extra this & that from my stash.  I hope you'll enjoy these as much as I enjoyed making them.

Isn't Chuck precious?!
He is a mixed breed we adopted from a no-kill shelter. They aren't sure of when his birthday is or how old he is. They are guessing about 10 weeks old. Originally I thought well, we'll just celebrate his birthday on July 4th - easy to remember - and that was 10 weeks ago. But then my husband said, why not make his birthday the same as yours, July 1st? So that's what we decided. I changed the little note on the layout tag to July 1st.

We also ordered a DNA kit from Embarkvet.com just to see what he is a mix of. I love DNA stuff. So cool.

In case you can't tell by the photo in the layout, Chuck is massive!

Thanks for visiting! I'll have more layouts from this kit to share with you through the rest of the month (and maybe into October) until the entire kit is made and posted.

See you tomorrow!

#2 CTMH Layout Series (Picture This)

  Hi, everyone!

(please note: this kit is no longer available)

We are continuing on in my Close To My Heart (CTMH) scrapbook layout series from a kit I purchased a few years ago. I'm just now getting around to using it. It was designed to have a cover layout, and then 12 more layouts representing the cover of a wall calendar with an additional layout for each month. (My layouts will be used in my scrapbook instead.) Tom & I dancing January 2 of this year.
I love my husband so much.

Thankfully this kit came with number stickers that would work for 2019, 2020, and 2021. :) I love it when they think ahead like that for those of us who get around to crafting a few years after we buy the kits. hahahaha

Thanks for visiting! I'll have more layouts from this kit to share with you through the rest of the month (and maybe into October) until the entire kit is made and posted.

See you tomorrow!

#4 of SSS Kind Flowers Card Kit

I just want to thank you again for visiting my crafting blog and leaving comments. It's so very nice to share my joy of crafting with others!

It's hard to believe that the month is already half over. Has the cold set in where you are? Anybody gotten any snow yet this year? That's just one of the things I miss about living in Alaska - all the snow. It's so beautiful, quiet, and peaceful watching it fall down from above.
