Alligator Flowers

Happy, Happy Day to you!

You know, the smallest things get me so excited sometimes. Yesterday I ordered some paper (DCWV The Stack 6) and the Treading Water Punch from Joann's. I can't wait for it to get here already! I see so many projects with the Treading Water punch and like the effect so much. I've been putting off buying it, but since I had a coupon for 50% off, I went ahead and ordered it yesterday. Plus the paper was on sale for 50% off too! Yeee-haaaaa!

I Googled free coloring book images a while back and found this adorable alligator with a flower. I've been waiting to make a card with him. I put this together this morning. So fun.

I bought a pack of cards at the Dollar Store and simply covered the front with patterend paper. Now I have a custom card and the exact size envelope I need! I left the Get Well sentiment inside the card unchanged.

The purple background paper used here is from DCWV Pocket Full of Poises glitter stack. The green paper is from my stash (sorry, can't remember where it came from). The dark lavendar paper is from my new stack I bought at Walmart recently. I colored the image with my Crayola markers and crayons. The flower was cut from Cricut Cartridge Walk In My Garden. I cut 3 different sizes, curled up the edges, staggered them in layers, and used a K&Company jewel brad to secrue them to the card after punching a small hole with my Crop-A-Dile.

I hope everyone has a GREAT Sunday! I sure have enjoyed my husband being around for 4 days without having to go to work. We have gotten lots of housework done (still renovating). And our nights have been quite interesting with the critters that got in through a small hole in the back of the laundry room! We were up at 2:00 this morning chasing a mutant mouse! He would scurry from under something to somewhere else, and I would screech which would in turn make my husband jump. Honestly, it was quite hilarious. PETA would not be happy to know we snagged him in a mouse trap. I however was rather thrilled about it. :)

Thank you so much for all of your lovely comments. You make me smile sharing the love!

Hugs! Hope your day is sunny and full of love!
