Counting Sheep

Here is a 6 x 6 card I made this afternoon. I don't remember making a card this size before, and it was almost too small with the stamps I wanted to use. Don't ask me what kind of envelope I'm going to use, because I haven't figured that part out yet. :)

This is my submission for the Paper Cutz Challenge #2 to make a card, layout, or craft project using a critter.

The stamps I used are from Stampin' Up called Definitely Decorative Counting Sheep. The inks are also from Stamping Up.

The border at the bottom is made with my new Treading Water punch I ordered from Joann's. (Love this punch!)

After stamping the card, I thought it looked a little dull. So I added clear glitter glue to everything! Glitter glue is addictive!

I also added some green and pink paper strips under the punched border to show some contrast.

The sentiment was hand written. I was going to use a cute border and print it from the computer, but it looked too busy.

The sentiment says, "Dear God, Please make all my friend's dreams come true. Amen."

I hope to start a series of "Dear God" cards.

Please leave a comment! I would love to see what kind of "Dear God" card you would make! Leave a link to it so we can all come enjoy it too!

I should have sponged the edges of the card, but oh well.... I like it anyway.

Hugs!
Janis

  1. This is so cute Janis! Thank you for entering the challenge. I love all the bling and the border punch too! I like making square cards but couldn't find envelopes, so I had to get an envelope maker. I think it's called a crafter's companion? They have them on HSN, QVC and Paper Wishes web sites. Mine was 19.95 from HSN.
