Pocket Full of Sunshine

Natasha Bedingfield's song, "Pocket Full of Sunshine" is running through my head. When she sings the part, "Take me away, a secret place, a sweet escape, take me away..." I keep thinking about us heading back to the mountains for a camping trip this weekend. I so can't wait. :)

So inspired by that song, and following the 365 Cards Day 157: Imagine This: Sunflowers, here is my card for this morning.

This is the rest of the 12x12 card stock I cut in half yesterday. This card is 6x6. I used My Mind's Eye, Everyday Tango paper, my Treading Water punch, an oval and circle punch for the flower center and petals, and K&Company jewel brad for the flower center.

I sponged the card with Close to Cocoa ink from Stampin' Up, crinkled the flower petals and center for a more 3-D effect, and let it go with that.

It's very simple, almost a little too plain, but I like it.

This is also the 2nd card in my "Dear God" series. The sentiment is hand written and says, "Dear God, Thank You for friends and flowers. Amen".

Have you made a Dear God card yet? Leave us a link in the comment section so we can all come by and check it out.

Also, I just want to say thank you so much for all the beautiful comments you guys always leave me. They mean so much. I really appreciate you visiting my blog and taking the time to leave me a comment. I always try to go visit your blogs too. You guys are all so talented! I love looking at your creations and hearing what's going on in your world.

Okay, gotta run. Bonnie and I are off to our Weight Watchers meeting this morning. I have to load up the car with some things Kati needs for her new apartment and swing by there too.

Have a great day, everyone! Don't forget to Pause, Dream, and Enjoy your day!

Hugs,
Janis
