52Q WEEK 5 - WHAT GOOD THING HAPPENED TO YOU THIS WEEK?

Thanks to everyone who is playing along with us!
If you are just joining in on the fun, CLICK HERE to see all the questions so far.

At any time you can post a link to your project from any week's post.  :)

This week's question suggested by Joyce @  http://knightqueen.blogspot.com/
This week Question 5 is:
WHAT GOOD THING HAPPENED TO YOU THIS WEEK?
Now, I know the week has just begun, so feel free to write about any good thing that has happened to you recently.  I chose to write about our 24th Wedding Anniversary last week.
For my page, I used an A2 size card sealed on the bottom and sides leaving the top open.  I put a tag inside the card from the top that can easily pull out.
The outside cuts are from Cricut Cartridge PAPER PUPS.
The puppies and butterflies are on page 89 cut @ 2 1/2" and I used the FLIP button for one of the puppies so they would be facing each other.
The Love Heart is on page 104 also cut @ 2 1/2".
I printed the question on the computer using CK Constitution font @ 15pt.
Papers are from DCWV glitter stack - I think Nana's Kids.
I added Googlie eyes, jute, ribbon, and a button.

Enjoy your week!  See you next week for the next Question in your Mini Me Book!!

WITCHY RIDE

Be sure and scroll down to see 2 earlier posts today.  One is an Autumn Accordion Album / Book I made today.

This card is using papers from Karen Foster Design, Biggie Bundle, Throughout the Year #3.  Love these papers!!  The solid orange paper is from Recollections.  Card base is black from Value pack (pre-scored for easy folding!)

I used 2 ribbons - the wider one on the bottom.  Both ribbons from Michael's.

Bat from Cricut Cartridge: PAPER DOLL DRESS UP page 53.  He was in my "Extra Cuts" file, so I'm not sure what size I cut him - probably 4".

The orange eyelet is from Joann's using my Crop-a-dile.

I really let the paper do most of the "talking" on this card.

This is my submission for PAPER CUTZ CHALLENGE #56 - Use Metal on your card.

Have a safe and fun weekend!

Here's a snippet of the Autumn album I posted about below:

AUTUMN ACCORDION ALBUM

Good morning!  I am having so much fun!! I made an Accordion Style Mini Book / Album.  These types of albums are really, really fun!  I was inspired by Mary's video on YouTube she did last year.  You can watch that video by clicking HERE.  Mary used 1 1/2 sheets of 8 1/2" x 11" card stock.  I used 2 full sheets, but same assembly idea.

I went to Michael's today and got 2 pretty, pretty stacks of 12"x12" papers.  One is from DCWV called The Autumn Splendor Stack.  It has 36 sheets - 10 of which have glitter and 8 with foil.  They are GORGEOUS!

The other stack is Karen Foster Design Biggie Bundle, Through The Year #3.  I've never even heard of Karen Foster Design.  There's 180 sheets of 12"x12" paper.  Again - so pretty!

Here are all the pictures of the mini book I made today.  Pictures need to be added and I'll do lots of journaling (you know I love to write poetry and jabber).

Cricut Cartridge:  PLANTIN SCHOOL BOOK:
Tags in various sizes on page 78
Cricut Cartridge:  EVERY DAY PAPER DOLLS:

If you have any questions about how to make one of these mini books / albums, please do not hesitate to leave me a comment and your email.  I will be more than happy to help you in any way I can.

Have a safe and fun weekend!

HAPPY FALL Y'ALL - WELL ALMOST ANYWAY

I've been trying to come up with some ideas for Autumn cards. I think this turned out pretty cute.  My little farmer there doesn't have on any pants or shoes, but shhhhh, don't tell anyone.  You can't see his legs or feet so I don't think anyone will guess he's naked behind that haystack.  LOL

Card base muted grayish green from Value Pack (pre-scored for easy folding!)
Background stripe paper (DCWV The Stack 6) cut @ 5 1/4" x 4"
Background pattern paper (DCWV The Stack 6) cut @ 5" x 3 3/4"
Sentiment printed from computer using Catchup font @ 32 pt.
Cricut Cartridge:  EVERY DAY PAPER DOLLS
Farmer boy page 68 cut @ 3"
Haystack page 77 cut @ 2 1/2"
Stampin' Up chalks used on haystack for enhancement of cuts
Colorbox brown ink used to edge papers and sentiment paper
Sentiment paper from Recollections
White gel pen to enhance cuts on cowboy hat
Face drawn on with Ultra Fine Tip Black Sharpie
Ribbon from Michael's

This is my submission for Treehouse Stamps #64 - Fall Colors

How easy is that?  And who knows, you may need that recipe in the years to come - so better write it down for yourself and future generations.  :)

ANNIVERSARY CARD

Today is our 24th Wedding Anniversary!  How fitting that the theme over at Paper Playtime this week is "ANNIVERSARY".  Oh, wait a minute... I'm the one who decided on that theme over there. LOL

I had no idea what I was going to do for this theme.
I didn't want "cutsie" (although I love and do "cutsie" very, very often.)
I didn't want Vintage.
I didn't want to color a clear stamp or digi stamp.
Hmmmmm... I felt like Winnie the Pooh sitting down under the Honey Tree saying, "Think.  Think.  Think."

I remembered I bought a "Perfect Pages"  Wedding theme pack at Joann's a while back that was on clearance for less than $3.  So I pulled that sucker out and was saying to myself, "Oh, I want to use that paper.  No, that one.  And this one.  And that sticker.  And that piece."  Obviously, everything I wanted to use, wouldn't fit on just one card.  LOL

Card base is Cream from Value pack (pre-scored for easy folding)
Brown mat cut @ 5 3/8" x 4 1/8"
Blue mat cut @ 5 1/4" x 4"
I cut a small strip of the "script" paper.
I made a pocket for the tag (believe me - I'm not good at math - this is a BIG deal accomplishment)  I just measured the width of the tag and added 1/2" on both sides.  Then I followed instructions from Scrapdaworld's Video Turotial.  (Click here to see her show you how to do this.  It's so neat!)
I used my Cropadile to add an eyelet, then slipped a brad through the center of the flower and fastened the brad ends through the eyelet.  The flower is inked with brown ColorBox ink as well as the edges of the pocket.  Oh, and I used my 1" circle punch to put 1/2 a circle for the tag opening.
I think that's everything.
Enjoy your day.  Tell your sweetie you love them.  Call them for no reason just to hear their voice.  :)

I bet you thought I was AWOL today, didn't you?  LOL  Nope, I'm here.  I've been working on some other projects today that are top secret right now.  hehehehehe

I'm really pleased with the way this card turned out.  It's for our daughter who started her Junior year of college today.  I know, I know, I should have mailed it to her already.  Oh well.  I'm sure her life is pretty crazy right now with school starting and being in her new apartment just a few days.  She'll appreciate it when she gets it next week.

Background ABC paper from DCWV Nan's Kids.  It's embossed.  Love it!

ALTERED BOX = NEW CRAYON HOLDER

Remember that Feminine box I altered to make a Magic Marker & Colored Pencils Holder? Yes, we all laughed really hard over that box make-over.  :)  You can see that post by CLICKING HERE.

Well, today I altered a POP TART box (Okay, so really the Kroger brand of Pop Tarts) to make a Crayon box holder.

It turned out pretty good.  I had to add some ribbon on the top edge because I obviously didn't cut very straight and had some box peeking up every now and then.
The gorgeous paper is glittered from the DCWV Nana's Kids stack.  The ribbon was on sale in the Michael's clearance bin for 50 cents and it's 15 yards!!  Woo-Hooo!
Hope you guys enjoy!
