Shopping is my Therapy!

What are you working on today? Post a picture and a link to your blog on our Facebook wall!!

Good morning! Or Good Afternoon depending on what time zone you are in.  Guess who LOVES craft shopping?  I do! I do! Unfortunately, I have not been able to partake of crafting retail therapy since we moved to Alaska. Not because they don't have craft stores here because they do! There are 2 Michaels, a Joann's and Fred Meyer carries a limited supply of crafting items including Cricut cartridges & supplies.  Gosh we even have electricity here and paved roads and everything.  Nope, lack of shopping stores is not the issue.  Craft shopping is just not high up on the priority list these days.  Other things in life are requiring our attention.... like getting furniture.  Furniture is a good thing.  :)

Card Recipe:
  • A2 size card in black carstock from Walmart (4 1/4" x 5 1/2")
  • Black & Cream gingham background paper from K&Co. Best of Brenda Walton cut @ 4" x 5 1/4"
  • Blackish button & Felt Yellow flower from Joann's
  • Rhinstones on luggage and feather in hat from Recollections
  • 3 BIRDS ON PARADE Shopping Bird page 34 cut @ 3 1/2". Keypad overlay Row 1, Column 7
  • Sentiment Black strip cut @ 3 1/2" x 1 1/2"
  • Sentiment pink strip cut @ 3" x 1"
  • K ANDREW DESIGNS stamp set "FASHIONABLE FRIENDS"

Here's a close-up of the sentiment stamp. These stamps are AWESOME!

This card reminds me of my sister.  I'm not saying she goes shopping a lot. I'm just saying it reminds me of her.  Smiles! :) Janis

  2. What a fun card! That pink chick with a feather in her hat is just too cute! What a super sentiment, too! We've been doing lots of furniture shopping as well but I forced my husband to take a detour to Michaels when we were looking at bedroom sets in Toronto!!
