SENDING YOU SUNNY THOUGHTS

#228

Hello all my bloggy friends!
Since my husband LOVES to hike up these Alaskan mountains, I made this card in honor of him.  Isn't this little moose so cute?  Tom saw a family of moose on one of his hikes recently.  I'd like to take just a moment and show you some of the pictures he took.

Tom's hike began at 1900' and ended at around 4500'. From beginning to end, it took about 4 hours to hike. A little discouraging at the beginning was this sign:

YIKES!
Okay, so it really didn't discourage him at all.  I would have run back to the truck if I were there though. Just sayin'.

Half way there!

I hope you enjoyed his hiking pictures. Now you see why I thought this Hiking Moose card would be fun to do.

The card base is *Green (don't know the official name) from Stampin' Up.
The *background paper is from Cosmo Cricket, Nutmet - Autumn. This is awesome double-sided paper.
The paper stripe of leaves at the bottom is the reverse side of the background paper. Cool, huh?
Green button from Hobby Lobby, "Bag of Buttons". Hemp from stash. Rhinestones from $1 bin at Michael's.
CAMPIN' CRITTERS Cricut cartridge
Moose on page 28 cut @ 4 3/4" with Shadow Feature.
Keypad overlay Row 1, Column 8.
And check out this COOL sentiment stamp!

The sun was shining in the windows so brightly in this picture, you can't see the detail on the button.  It actually has brown swirls on the top & that's why I chose this green one to use on this card.

This sentiment stamp is from K Andrew Designs set "Splashtastic Summer".
This is a Mix 'n' Match set, so the possibilities are Endless!
When you purchase this set, K Andrew Designs donates $1 to AUTISM RESEARCH INSTITUTE.

For all of you who want just a little bit more info than the hike pictures above, check out this video my hubby did while on the top of Wolverine Peak.  He even says, "Hey, Janis!" and waves at me. LOL  Awwww

Have a fun day! :) Janis
