The Roller Coaster Ride Continues....

The roller coaster ride continues...  (short version: not moving to Alaska. Long version, keep reading)

We are on track for closing on our house on Monday (in 3 days). Unfortunately, the search for a place to live in Alaska has resulted in exactly one house. Well, we came to our senses and decided that $4300 a month is too much for rent. It's a nice house and all, but no!

Add to that, the pending job that Tom is feeling pretty optimistic about, and we just can't see the Alaska move working for us right now.

So we are staying in SC... at least for a while. We found a pretty awesome place to rent in Chapin. A brand spanking new house to boot. And it's NOT $4300 a month. If Tom does get the possible other job, it will be virtual, so we will buy some land and build the dream, forever home in South Carolina. Somewhere.

Alaska people, sorry we won't be coming up there to hang... especially Tanacross. Tom is gonna REALLY miss the Tanacross shenanigans. If he doesn't get the other job though, he's committed to an occasional trip up there for work. Maybe he can schedule one around Fall Tanacross. :)

SC people, sorry that you're stuck with us. :)

This was fun! I love how it turned out.

Sentiment - Peachy Keen Stamps kit 2018

(I had to modify the size of the sentiment banner to fit this stamp)

Extras:

I duplicated and laid out the hive pieces on the mat and then welded them together. This allowed me to cut one piece of the hive shape and glue the pieces on there. Much more easier than just trying to add a sliver of glue to the edges of the ovals that make up the hive.

I accidentally folded the box card incorrectly. So the finished project is flipped from it's original intention. Which means the cute little bumble bee is partially hidden behind the flowers, but would normally be more exposed if I had folded it the correct way. Oopsie. Still turned out cute though. :)

This is for my Mother-in-law, 

and I included a little snippet from 

one of the mini dictionary booklets

I purchased from Amazon.

I highlighted the top of the definition.

She told me a couple of weeks ago 

that she liked getting mail. 

Even if it was just junk mail, 

so since then I've been mailing 

her a card once a week. :)

Have a wonderful Sunday!

Now I've got to go pack.

We close on our house in a few weeks,

and are moving to Alaska again.

My blog may be inactive a week or so

while driving there. 

Yes, we always drive there

when we move up there and back.

I'm going to attempt to try 

and have posts scheduled to post

while we're traveling... but right

now it's all I can do to get one card made

a day.... much less a couple week's worth

in advance. So we'll see.
