Alaska Fun with Family Scrapbook Pages

Hi, everyone! My PDE Linky Party Challenge blog has been on a little break since June. But it's back now with a new challenge theme every Friday, and we want you to link up! This week's challenge (Fri, July 1 through Thurs, July 7) is to use a DIE CUT. How easy is that?!

Last week our daughter, Kati, and friend, Laney, flew from South Carolina to Alaska to visit us for a few days. We had a blast! I just finished adding NINE pages to my scrapbook of all our adventures. Here are two I want to share with you today using DIE CUTS for the PDE Linky Party post.

PDE Linky Party Ch# 127 - Use a Die Cut

For this page, I used a die cut from Miss Kate Cuttables - Chuga Chuga Choo Choo. I cut it out, then put my 3x4 cards on the sticky mat, adhered the train tracks and chuga sentiment over the top of the tracks, then gently pulled up each 3x4 pieces and cut the hangover tracks and sentiment. This way, the sticky mat held the cards in place while I was adhering the die cut, and trimming them separated the cards so I could place each one in it's own page pocket.

On this next page, I used another Miss Kate Cuttbles, but this time instead of paper piecing, I used the print and cut feature for Vacation Memories. I added some tickets from a Walmart roll I got years ago and still have tons left as well as a print and cut camera (ID# 80558) from the Silhouette Store.

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you'll swing by PDE Linky Party and link up your projects using Die Cuts!

:) Janis
