Our internet was out for a few days last week which made me get creative to use something I already had and create without my die cutting machine. I love the results!
I looked through my drawer of print-n-cuts I already had ready to go and chose the 3 little Oriental ladies.
Then I searched through my sequins and charms stash and picked out some fun embellishments for each girl.
I cut white cardstock 8" x 4" and scored at 4" for a 4" x 4" mini card.
The pattern paper was cut at 3" x 3" and the smaller embossed white cardstock at 2 1/2" x 2 1/2". I used 2 embossing folders and my Cuttlebug adhering the layers with foam tape for dimension.
Then I grabbed my We R Memory Keepers envelope maker board to create some mini envelopes. (I still love that board! It just doesn't get old.)
A Fiskars punch was used on the card edge and a strip of matching pattern paper added to the inside so that the border would pop.
The package for the gift set is actually a recycled sack I received an order in. I created a decorative mini mat for the front of the sack using the same technique for the front of the cards, but this time incorporating all 3 of the pattern papers onto one mat. A large button and crinkle ribbon was added to highlight the sentiment strip. I used my square punch to flag the end of that sentiment strip.
All of the sentiments came from Cardz TV Stamps various stamp sets. If you'd like to re-create something similar to this, here are the items I used for easy reference:
