Basket of Sunshine & New Deck Construction Progress

Hello, crafters! Once again we had a very busy, but productive weekend. We are making great progress in getting the back deck built. Thankfully Tom's brother, Bill, and our son, Jimmy, have come over a couple of days to help Tom with it. It's looking so good! I love that my husband can have an idea in his head, and then build it. It blows my mind. We aren't finished yet, but here are some progress pictures,  and then I'll show you my project for Pause Dream Enjoy's new linky party (3D projects) that started today.

Ceiling is now up.
Columns and posts are getting built.

I love me some beadboard!
Check out that fancy octagon molding where the ceiling fan will go.

Love the molding on the columns!

We are excited about the progress and can't wait for it to be completed! Bonnie's birthday party is in a couple of weeks, and we plan on enjoying it with the family.

In other news.......................

Here's my project for the new Pause Dream Enjoy linky party that started today.
{You can always find the current linky party and link up your project by either clicking on the TAB at the top of the blog or by clicking on the Linky Party Button at the top of the left column.}

  • Basket SVG from My Scrap Chick (included 3 layered scallop and circles for front of basket)
  • Bunny sticker from Mrs. Grossmans
  • Sunshine from Miss Kate Cuttables "Here Comes The Sun" title

 I also cut a piece of chipboard to stick in the inside bottom of the basket to make it a little more sturdy.

The horizontal fence pieces are all adhered with foam squares (Royal Castle Shoppe) for dimension.

Double-sided paper from K&Co.

Thanks for stopping by today! Don't forget to pop over to the LINKY PARTY tab and link up your 3D project!

:) Janis

  10. Yes, I gotta say those columns look impressive. Where did you get those, or were they custom-made? That octagon molding also looks good. Are you guys gunning for Bonnie's birthday as the completion date? Would be nice if she gets to celebrate in on your new deck!
