Card #83, 84, 85 |
Did you know that March 26 is MAKE UP YOUR OWN HOLIDAY DAY? No really, it is. Abby told me about it. She has a link on her blog that takes you to all the Bizarre and Unique Holidays for March.
Well, I can't pass up an opportunity like this! So I am making up my own Holiday. It's called FRIENDS DAY. Awww. How sweet. :)
I love card making!
I made 1/2 a dozen of these cards today for my new Holiday. 3 pink elephants and 3 blue elephants. I was going to somehow incorporate the peanut into this card too, but just could not find a fitting sentiment. Sheree and I were Skype messaging last night with different options. One I came up with is, "I love you like an elephant loves peanuts." OK, what does that say to the person receiving the card? I want to eat you? Ummm, wrong message! LOL We were being silly and coming up with all kinds of corny, awkward sentiments. Here's another one, "We both have our talents. I never forget and you smell like peanut butter." LOL Silly, silly girls.
Today, I finally settled on a sentiment. The outside says, "REMEMBER" and the inside says, "You have a friend in me." Perfect for my new Holiday, don't you think? Much better than thinking someone wants to eat me. Just say NO to cannibal cards. hahaha
