Good morning, world! This week at CRICUT CARDZ CHALLENGE Mary has asked all of us on Design Team 2 to provide some inspiration for her challenge this week for all who want to participate. The challenge? Make a TALL card. These are so fun and will fit into a regular Business Size envelope (#10) also called a Letter Envelope. Here's what I came up with...
Card #57 |
Card base is Stampin' Up Yellow cardstock cut @ 9" x 8" and scored @ 4". The background papers are from Recollections BRIGHT & BASIC. Blue cut @ 8 3/4" x 3 3/4". Orange Gingham cut @ 8 1/2" x 3 1/2". Blue cut @ 8 1/4" x 3 1/4". Water Pump and Phrase from Cricut Cartridge COUNTRY LIFE both cut with Stampin' Up Papers. Pump & Shadow cut @ 5", and Phrase & Shadow cut @ 2". Jute from Joann's.
Buttons are from a container I received from a very good friend. There is an assortment of colors, sizes, shapes, and textures of buttons in this container. My friend loves to craft, but has very limited use of her hands and fingers. She cannot do anything that involves "pinching" with her fingers. In other words, she can't pick up the smaller buttons and even has a hard time picking up the larger ones. Then she can't push them onto a Zot Dot and pinch it back off. So she decided to send the buttons to me. How sweet is that?! She is so generous and encouraging. She also can't tie bows like the one I did with the jute on this card, so a friend of her's tied a bunch of tiny bows and mailed them to her as a surprise. I'm telling you, the crafting / blogging world is FULL of such generous, kind-hearted people. I'm so thankful for that.
I hope you will hop over to CRICUT CARDZ CHALLENGE and play with us this week by making your own TALL card. I just love Mary's challenges! I'm thrilled to be on her Design Team #2!!
