Judy, I use the SIL software Designer's Edition Upgrade. I don't have any trouble with it cutting where it is suppose to on the mat. Make sure your "load cutting mat" is selected and not "Load media" because that will make a difference on where it cuts on the mat. Use the up and down arrow keys on the Cameo to change this setting.
