I hope everyone had a great Sunday today.
Today is Mother's Day, but it also would have been my dad's 77th birthday if he had not passed away in January this year. My bother and sister-in-law sent me a Peace Lily plan when he died. I can't tell you how much that touched my heart. It was so unexpected and filled me with love.
I know nothing about plants and flowers except that I love looking at them. I hope this one will endure my ignorance and stay around for a very long time.
Also today, I saw something horrible on the way home from the grocery store. I don't want to tell you about it, just know it involved a busy highway and several people trying to capture a loose dog. I cried all the way home, and felt terrible for those involved.
I came home, told my husband about it, who immediately was angry because the owner should have had a leash on that sweet dog, but talking about it with Tom did make me feel a little better. Of course I was sure to give my fur babies lots of hugs and kisses after that. Not that that is anything different. I do that all day long every day. LOL I told my husband yesterday that if me and our Pit Bull, Mary Ann, die at the same time, she is welcome to sleep with me in the coffin or share my cremation jar, whatever he decides to do with me. He gave me a really strange look. LOL So I said, "Just sayin'."
I hung out with my husband for a little bit in the garage where he was installing a roll bar and race seat belts in his Corvette. Then I came inside and made some stationary to write a little note to a friend to be included in a package I'm sending her. This is actually stamped on Cream cardstock, but the camera didn't pick that up.
I used my favorite stamp set in the world, Stampin' Up's Summer Silhouettes.
Inks are also SU: Berry Burst, Fresh Fig, Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive, and Lemon Lime Twist.
Have a wonderful evening.
Hope you'll visit me again tomorrow.
Hugs,
Janis
P.S. My friend, Amy, and I have taken over running the Bitten by the Bug 2 challenge blog. I would love it if you guys would come play with us! There is a new challenge every Monday and somewhere on your project you must use a Cricut cut or Cricut print and cut image. But you can incorporate other cuts and things into your project as well.
