Golden Glow version Holiday Card

Hi, everyone! I am a participant in the 2014 Holiday Card Workshop Online Classes. First time I've taken an online class, so I'm pretty excited about it.

There are tons of videos and instruction sheets for several different kinds of cards for just today's class. So much inspiring info and new techniques I've never tried before or even heard of. I wanted to share with you two of the first cards I've created today.  This post will show the Golden Glow version, and the  previous post showed the blue version.
The tutorial used a cool technique with paste and a template, neither of which I have, so I improvised and used a different technique while still trying to achieve the overall look of the card.

Tim Holtz - Wild Honey ink
Versamark ink
Clear Embossing powder
Snowfall background stamp
White Gel Pen
Cherry Red Timeless Twine
Heart from metal die
Sentiment stamp with matching punch adhered with foam for dimension
Corner Punch

I first stamped the background with the Versamark ink.
Then embossed it with clear powder.
After that, I used gold ink to color the background.
You can see this made the snow "pop" into focus.
The golden background (in my mind) was suppose to give the illusion of a glow.

Thanks for stopping by today!
:) Janis
