Happy Birthday, Birthday Girl!

Our baby girl, Bonnie, is going to have a birthday next week. She's going to be 19 years old! Oh my goodness! 19! I can't believe it! Her birthday party is going to be this Sunday with a cookout and cake here at home taking full advantage of the new outdoor fireplace / grill that Tom has been working on these past few weekends. I'm not sure if I ever told you, but the bricks we are using for this outdoor fireplace area are all bricks that came from inside our house. Our house was built in the late 1890's and every room had it's own fireplace. When we gutted the house down to the studs, we removed all the fireplaces (they weren't really functional anymore since they were very shallow for coal burning), but we saved all the bricks. I love that we have been able to recycle all those bricks to enhance our outdoor living area. I love the history of those old bricks.

Well, that was off on a tangent, huh?

I want to share with you the birthday card I made for our sweet Bonnie. I think it turned out precious just like our Bonnie Girl.

• Lavender card base (Recollections) cut @ 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" (I think purple is Bonnie's favorite color since that's the paint she chose for her bedroom walls)
• Green and Lavender striped papers from K&C "Snugglebug". This is actually one piece of double-sided paper. Lavender on one side and the green on the other.
• Spellbinders Lacy Oval and Solid Ovals used for image matting
• Penny Black image stamped and then colored using BIC markers:
• Yellow Blaze
• Rambunctious Red
• Tiki Hut Tan
• Hot Aqua
• Petal Pink
• Lime Sorbet
• Copic E00 Skin White for flesh tone
• Image Oval adhered with foam tape for dimension
• Satin wide rich red ribbon from Offray
• Tiny heart buttons from Joanns
• Cardz TV Stamps "Make a Wish" stamp set used for both sentiments and stamped using Memento Tuxedo Black ink
