Hi, everyone! Here is a Trio of Christmas cards I made over the weekend. I dug out some older Stampin' Up stamps and diamond glimmer paper and had some fun! However, I had a terrible time trying to photograph them. They are so pretty and sparkly in person.

Let me interrupt myself here to say this: Yes, it's fun to buy new stamps that come out, but don't forget about the love you have for your older stamps as well. They are still as awesome as they were when you were so excited to purchase them way back when. As a Stampin' Up demonstrator, I sometimes feel like I HAVE to only use the new stuff, and then I ask myself, WHY? Honestly, I love SU goodies, but I use my stash. That means you'll see older products, other brands, etc. When I create, I create with the freedom and joy of using my stash.....
even if it's old, wherever I purchased it from.....
okay.... back to today's post.....
I started out stamping this image 3 times on Basic White cardstock, then fussy cut them.
1) Lid
2) Cup body
3) Band
I started to mix up the cut pieces onto the white cup bases. I found there was one piece of the cup base I didn't want to use below the middle cup's lid, because it blended too well therefore making the lid not very distinct. So....
I added it to the middle cup's band instead. Now all of the cut up pieces are used, and I'm happy with the results.
I used Chic Dies and some leftover Basic White cardstock (I save all my scraps) and continued to run it through the Big Shot to get as may snowflakes from that scrap piece as possible.
You'll notice that some of the snowflakes are just partial cuts. This is perfect! I can use them to go off the page or behind an image, etc. Nothing goes to waste.
Time to start making some cards!
All of my cards are A2 size: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"
(tent style meaning the card flips up to open - my fav)

Cherry Cobbler cardstock for card base
All 3 cards have a pattern paper base cut at 4" x 5 1/4"
All 3 cards have a strip of Diamond Glimmer cardstock cut at various widths
All 3 cards have a band strip layered with the glimmer cardstock at various widths
Chic Dies for snowflakes (notice some of them are going off the page or tucked behind an object)
I used old (retired) Diamond Glimmer cardstock, but White Glimmer paper that will work just as beautifully.
The sentiment was stamped from Christmas Scottie stamp set (new Mini Catalog), and die cut using retired Lots of Labels Framelits Dies #138281. I cut the same size label twice: once in Basic White and once in Shaded Spruce cardstock. I cut the Shaded Spruce label in the middle and extended it past both ends of the sentiment label for creative matting.
Rhinestone Basic Jewels were added under the glimmer cardstock.
Ribbon duo pack, Real Red & Garden Green #159577, added behind sentiment label
