Birthday September Sundays

Hi, everyone! This is the first full weekend of College football games. LOVE LOVE LOVE!! I hope you all are having a great weekend so far. Last week, early Tuesday morning... early like before we got up.... I guess around 4 something.... our house was shaken awake by an earthquake. Not a big one. No damage or anything. But it was the first time we've experienced an earthquake. There was loud noise (I guess that happens when the earth is stretching it's legs), shaking, and a little bit of window rattling. We were like, "What was that?" The funny thing is, our two dogs who will bark at the air, slept through it. Yeah, way to go to alert us to possible danger, girls. LOL  The center of the quake was 10 miles southeast of us, and it rated a 3.8 on the scale. It was interesting. Okay, enough of that chatter. On to today's creation.

Today's Birthday Card

Guess what I got in the mail recently? My monthly Simon Says Stamp Card Kit! I love these kits!! My card today was copied from one of the examples included on a photo sheet with every kit.  The papers, stamps, puffy embellishment, and card base are all from the September 2016 Card Kit

Other supplies used were:
My Favorite Things, Cross Stitched oval die
foam tape to adhere one of the banners and sentiment oval

Enjoy the rest of your day.

  2. WOW.. an earthquake! I haven't felt one in awhile myself... When growing up in Chicago.. there actually was one while I was sitting on my front porch... then when I moved to Nevada as an adult, I was walking with my then BF (Hubby Now) and there was an earthquake too... I didn't feel either one of them and was disappointed until I was sleeping @ my BF's house one night and he had a waterbed.. and it was swaying back & for which woke me up.... FINALLY I felt one.. LOL Then when we moved to Las Vegas, I was asleep again when we had another one.... we had an above ground swimming pool at the time and it was swishing around like crazy... that one was actually a really strong one and lasted a good 3 minutes... was about a 7 on the scale... then we had several after shocks from that one... but none since then that I could remember... I hope you don't get any that are to severe.... Now that I've entertained you with my stories I should comment on your lovely card! hahaha LOVE the card you created with this kit... I have my kit sitting on my desk and haven't made a thing... LOVE the distress edging around your card... Have a great day! :)
