Card #130 |
Today is Bonnie's 17th Birthday! Yeah!!
Many of you know that Bonnie is our Special Needs child. She is always happy, smiles a lot, and loves to shake hands with everyone - even people in line behind us at the grocery store. LOL She doesn't walk exactly like you may expect, her speech is a language all her own (with words thrown in every now and then that you can recognize), and she's just absolutely PRECIOUS. And to think when I was pregnant, the doctor sat me down and said, "There's something wrong with the baby. We don't know what. We won't know the extent of the problem until the baby is born. I have information here I can give you to speak to someone if you are interested in getting an abortion." WHAT?! Oh my gosh. Who in this world is NORMAL anyway?
Bonnie is such a tremendous blessing to us. We are so proud of her and so thankful that she is a part of our family.
Some of my friends mailed her birthday cards. We have been saving them up for her to open tonight when we go out to eat for her birthday. She is so excited she has all this mail!
The crown she is wearing was cut from the Cricut cartridge ONCE UPON A PRINCESS @ 4" 3 times and overlapped to fit her head perfectly. I added some huge *rhinestones all around it. She loves her Princess Crown.
Her crown, birthday card, and envelope were all made with this same cartridge and all papers (except solid papers which are from Recollections) are from Hobby Lobby's "Fairytale Princess" cardstock glitter pack.
Her 6" x 6" square birthday card was made using the Martha Stewart Scoring Board. Start with 12" x 6" cardstock and score @ 6" for square card.
Birthday cake from page 74 cut @ 5" including Shadow feature.
Yes, I'm going Cuttlebug crazy!
Cuttlebug embossing folders used:

Frosting - Flowers
Candles - Pajama Stripes
Happy Birthday phrase on page 74 also cut @ 2 1/2" including Shadow feature.
PK-531 Simple Sallies Assortment Faces from Peachy Keen stamps used on Happy Birthday phrase.
Martha Stewart Scoring Board measurements for envelope.

Score B lines (diagonal top and bottom) @ 3 3/4"
I've added this card to her stack for her to open tonight. Yes, I'm sure we'll be taking lots of pictures. For all of you who mailed Bonnie a card, THANK YOU SO SO SO MUCH! It means a lot to me that I have friends like you who are so sweet.
If it's your birthday today too, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
If it's not your birthday today, then HAPPY UN-BIRTHDAY Alice In Wonderland style.
And Mama, I know I told you yesterday on your birthday, but Happy 70th Birthday again.
Smiles!
