2 Page Scrapbook Layout

Good morning!

Thank you so much for stopping by to see what I'm up to today. I have a 2 page scrapbook layout I want to show you. These pictures are all from earlier this year when one of our daughters had her Art Gallery Showing as part of her Senior year in college graduating with a Fine Arts Major with focus on photography. She sold many of her photographs (yeah!). She worked really hard on this Gallery Show. All the pictures she took were of "Hookville" which is the nickname we call the area where they grew up. Kati not only took all the pictures  but she also hand made all the photo frames herself, and created the photo display hardware as well since she was not able to put any nail holes in the wall of the downtown building that provided the gallery showing area. 

Our family doesn't all get together in one place at the same time very often... everyone has their own busy schedules and responsibilities, but since my parents were able to attend as well as my brother and sister, we snagged some photos of us all.

I used flowers, butterflies, and angels to decorate these 2 pages. I know what you're thinking... this is so not my style. LOL But I still thought it turned out pretty. Since my mama is in one of the photos, I decided to use the butterflies and angels for her. She loves butterflies and angels and has them all throughout her house. She collects them both.

Making scrapbook layouts just give me happiness and make me smile. I don't mind at all that I worked on this off and on all day. It relaxes me and gives me such peace.

Peppermint Candy Tree Box

I knew I wanted to make a bunch of these adorable Christmas mittens from the ARTISTE cart, but thought I'd use them as Christmas Tree ornaments.

THEN I saw this GREAT idea over @ SIMPLY ELEGANT PAPER CRAFTS where she made a handful of TO / FROM tags. What a great idea!

My only downfall was.... I cut the mittens first and they were too big to fit in my tree box after cutting the box the largest size that would fit on my Cricut mat. Oh well.  Instead I'll be putting peppermint candies in the tree box and using it as a decoration on our coffee table.

I chose to use the Thanksgiving option for this scene incorporated into a scrapbook layout. I love doing both, but it's time to get my scrapbook back in the limelight and caught up.
