A Little Card That Speaks Beautiful Truths

This one feels like a gentle reminder whispering right to your heart.

That sweet fairy, resting quietly on her mushroom home, looks like she’s taking a peaceful little pause from the world… and maybe reminding us to do the same. There’s something so soft and dreamy about this image—the flowers in her hair, the delicate wings, the cozy little mushroom scene—it all feels a bit magical in the best possible way.

I loved pairing the rich burgundy with soft teal, warm gold, and kraft tones. The layers of color and pattern give this card a cozy, storybook feel… like something you’d discover tucked inside a favorite journal or handmade keepsake box.

And that sentiment—
“You are a fabulous work of art.”

Honestly? I think we all need to hear that sometimes.

Not because we’re perfect.
Not because we have everything figured out.
But because there’s beauty in simply being who we are.

There is so much joy in creating cards like this. For me, crafting is relaxing and calming for my soul. It’s my little quiet space to play with colors, textures, layers, and tiny details—and hopefully create something that brightens someone else’s day too.

This card doesn’t try to impress… it chooses to encourage.

Moral of the story: You don’t have to compare your chapter 1 to someone else’s chapter 20. You are your own kind of beautiful.

• Whimsical Quirky Summer Horse Clipart

• I used 2 strips of foam tape to adhere the Horse to the left side and give him a little lift off the page

This one feels like the kind of compliment that sticks with you all day.

That sweet little horse with the oversized glasses and flower in hand looks so adorably unsure of herself… while simultaneously being completely lovable. And honestly? That’s probably why this card works so well. It feels real. A little awkward, a little sweet, and full of personality.

I had so much fun building this gatefold design. The floral papers wrapping around both sides feel soft and cheerful, while the purple layers and twine pull everything together with that cozy handmade touch I love so much. And when the card opens up to reveal “Awesome looks good on you”… it suddenly feels extra personal.

Like a little reminder someone might really need.

There’s something special about cards like this. They don’t have to be loud or dramatic to make an impact. Sometimes a simple message, paired with a thoughtful handmade design, says more than a whole speech ever could.

And can we talk about those glasses for a second? Because they absolutely steal the show. She looks like she’s trying to act casual while secretly hoping you like the flower she brought you.

This card doesn’t try to be perfect… it just shows up with heart.

Moral of the story: A little kindness and encouragement always look good on people.

Today’s card was created during a quiet moment

I didn’t even realize I needed.

Sometimes, in the middle of everyday life, we’re given a small invitation—
to slow down, to create, and to simply be. This project became one of those moments for me.

As I worked on this door design, I was reminded

that God often meets us in the pause—

in the stillness, in the creating, and in the smallest details.

This one feels like a gentle reminder to slow down and enjoy the simple things.

That sweet little girl, strolling through the flowers with her hands tucked behind her back, looks completely lost in the moment—in the very best way. No rushing. No worries. Just a quiet little walk surrounded by beauty.

I loved pairing the bold red with the soft blue and crisp white. The colors feel cheerful and fresh, while those stitched cloud details add the perfect touch of whimsy. Everything about this card feels lighthearted… like sunshine after a long week.

There’s something so peaceful about her expression too. 

She’s not chasing the day… she’s savoring it.

This card feels like a tiny invitation to pause, breathe, and notice the good things happening around you right now.

Moral of the story: Life feels sweeter when you take the time to relish the little moments.

This one feels like a postcard from a happy little adventure.

That tiny traveler sitting on her suitcase looks like she’s caught somewhere between dreaming and wandering… like she’s ready to go anywhere as long as it means making memories along the way. And that sentiment—“Wishing you were here”—turns the whole card into something warm and personal, like a note sent from someone who genuinely misses you.

I had fun mixing all the playful patterns on this one. The sunny oranges, cheerful florals, and soft sky-blue background make everything feel bright, welcoming, and full of possibility. It’s layered in a way that feels a little like collected moments from a journey—different pieces coming together to tell a story.

This card doesn’t feel rushed… it feels thoughtful. Like someone paused in the middle of their adventure just to say, “I wish you were sharing this with me.”

Moral of the story: The best adventures feel even sweeter when shared with someone you care about.

It's Always the Small Pieces That Make the Big Picture

Oh my gosh..... The weekend has arrived! Woo-Hoo!

Today I made a new card with the same image I used last Wednesday, but the card for today uses a different layout and supplies.

Isn't she cute!!  I thought about putting some Googlie eyes on her, but decided that took away from her adorable eyes.

Keep Smiling

Hello, my Crafty Friends!

Today I have a couple of Rain cards to share with you. Everything is the same except on one card I tilted the image frame slightly. It's amazing how a small change like that can really make a difference on your card making.

I hope your week is going well. I'm loving all the flowers blooming and birds singing in our backyard. If it would just get a bit warmer. :)

Today I have a beautiful card to share with you. I'll include Affiliate links for items I used. This was very simple to create.

Here are the items I used to create this project:

• 4.25" x 5.50" Blank Folded Card
• Die-namics Circle Die for the white circle
• Boots and Flowers Affiliate Link HERE  (I made the image a sticker)

• I printed out as a sticker (that's always fun)

I had some leftover gorgeous paper, so I added a column of it inside the card. There is still plenty of room to write out a message.

I Love Spring!

Spring is in the Air!  Oh, and the pollen is too. LOL

Today I'm sharing a cute card that was easy to pull together quickly.  

• The papers and gems are both from scraps.
• Cardstock is Stampin' Up.
• Stampin' Up Layering Squares (die cuts) for framing the kitty.
• The sentiment from my stash. I cut the sticker paper so I could stack the message.
• The Sweet Kitty watering the flowers is a digital image.
