Spooky (Guest Designing for Pink and Main)

Hi, crafters!

I'm thrilled to be Guest Designing for
this month. How cool is that?

Today I have a Haunted House treat box to show you using these amazing stamps.

I did some tweaking to the cut in the Silhouette Software.
Here is a short tutorial of how I altered it a tad to fit my needs.

First, I cut the house away from the box with the knife.

Second, I highlighted the house, right clicked, and chose "Release Compound Path."
This will allow me to move the house away from the windows.
Since I'll be cutting this piece in yellow, I don't want the windows to cut out.
This yellow piece will be adhered to the back of the house for the appearance that lights are on inside the house.

Lastly, I chose a label (I thought it sort of looked like the Batman symbol), sized it to fit on my box front, then created an internal shadow for it. The original shape will be cut out in orange, while the internal shadow will be cut out in white for stamping my sentiment onto.

  • Pink & Main "Smell My Feet" stamp set
  • Silhouette ID# 48949 (Lori Whitlock Haunted House Treat Box)
  • Silhouette ID# 44045 (set of 12 labels)
  • Timeless Twine "Purple Passion"
  • Bazzill cardstock
Be sure to hop over to Pink and Main for some fun shopping!
See you tomorrow.

PDE #16: KIDS Theme

Hi, crafters!

Starts a brand new challenge today!

Team A is posting inspiration for you
to inspire you to play along!

Ends Mon, Aug 18

Last month I got a new printer for my birthday
and couldn't wait to do some Print 'n' Cuts
with it.

  • Silhouette ID# 61739 (girl holding star balloon) using Print 'n' Cut feature
  • My Creative Time Stitched grass
  • Flower sequins
  • Craftin Desert Divas "Say It Big" sentiment
  • Foam squares to adhere little girl and sentiment for dimension (Royal Castle Shoppe)
  • Timeless Twine "Olive Green"
  • Stampin' Up Cloud embossing folder
I stamped the sentiment, scanned it, opened that file in the Silhouette Software, and created an Offset for it. Now I can cut out custom sentiment mats and then stamp the sentiment on them.
 Love it!

Thanks for stopping by today to see what I'm up to.
Don't forget to go link up your KIDS projects

MKC Doggie Card

Hi, Crafters! Janis here from Pause Dream Enjoy.
Today is my Design Team posting day for
But first, did you see today's FREEBIE?

It's only free for today, so make sure you go grab it!

For today's card, I decided to use:

World's Cutest Dog                        Banners Set of 4

We have 2 precious little babies that live at our house.
Our babies, Mary Ann & Ginger:

(Yes, we named them after the girls on Gilligan's Island.)

They are the SWEETEST lap dogs!
I just love them to pieces.

Here's my card:

  • Miss Kate Cuttables:
  • Timeless Twine - Autumn Splendor
  • My Creative Time - Stitched Grass die
  • Cardz TV Stamps - Barks & Bones
  • Foam Squares to adhere paw and banner for dimension
Love how easily Miss Kate Cuttables' files layer.
This card was a lesson to myself
that you can have empty space
and the world won't end.
So often I want to cover my card with "stuff."
But I think this one turned out okay without
stuff everywhere.

Thanks for stopping by today to see what I'm up to.
Go grab today's FREEBIE!
