Happy Tuesday! Here's a Tuesday Tip for you....

How I use cardstock to create cards:

All Stampin' Up cardstock solid color packs of 8 1/2" x 11" comes with 24 sheets 
except Whisper White and Very Vanilla which come in 40 sheets.

Color Cardstock, 24 sheets, cut in 1/2 for A2 size folding card base = 48 card bases

White & Vanilla, 40 sheets, cut in 1/2 for A2 size folding card base = 80 card bases

If you do post cards or just card fronts (like I do) to write on the backs you can get so much more....

Color Cadstock, 24 sheets, cut in 1/4 for A2 size POSTCARD = 96 postcards

White & Vanilla, 40 sheets, cut in 1/4 for A2 size POSTCARD = 160 postcards

All of my cards are really postcards. I quite making folding cards over a year ago. 

Postage is less, and they aren't as thick even with Action Wobbles and dimensionals because there's not that extra piece of cardstock included that's folded over. 

I cut a white or vanilla piece for the back to write on.

The following card is made especially for Die Cuttin Divas (brown) and Cute Card Thursday (distress by inking edges or tearing edges - I used heavy inking edges).

Harvest Blessings

Happy Hump Day! Things on my mind today....

• The weather has been gorgeous these past few weeks, and I love having my doors & windows open!
• I'm very much enjoying the new craft room paint color. I re-arranged this room a few different ways yesterday, and am happy I've decided to put my desk at the window. With it open and the trees right outside, I am loving watching the birds and squirrels play.
• Re-arranged the entrance hall (it's a large hall - 8 feet wide and almost the length of the entire house - it's really not even a hall because it's open to our living space)... anyway... I moved the piano, chairs, couch section, decorations, etc a few different ways yesterday and finally stopped with an arrangement I like. I even sat down and banged on the piano a little while this morning. If you were walking by the house and heard the clatter, I apologize. Lots of wrong notes and slow finger movements, but hey, I enjoyed it so that's something, right?
• Bonnie & I enjoyed our cool walk this morning in the bright sunshine. She led the way. Did you know that when we walk around 2 blocks at our house, we go past a Baptist church and a Methodist church? I'm not complaining at all. I just think it's interesting that there are 2 churches within a couple of blocks of each other. Especially since we live in such a very small town.
• I cut and paper pieced 4 Halloween Teddies this morning. The file is from KaDoodle Bug Designs (which you can find HERE). They are so cute! I haven't cut out all the different designs included in that cut file yet, but here is a photo of the ones I paper pieced this morning.

I guess I better get on with the card I want to show you and stop jabbering on and on about nothing. :)
