The Old Couple (cross-stitch)

Current Host Code: 7FZRHU9V

Good morning!

I have a project to share with you today that's NOT made of paper.

This is something I've spent time on and off working on. Sometimes I went for months without even touching it. Happy to say it's all done now, and I love it.

The finished size is 16" x 14".

Here are some close ups of the stitches....

Do any of y'all cross-stitch? Comment below about one of your projects. I'd love to hear about it.

Thanks for visiting today!

Hugs!!

  1. Beautiful stitching, Janis! I love to cross stitch, too. I started when I was a teenager and then quit for awhile after I had kids and found scrapbooking! I picked it back up a few years ago and I think I love it even more now than I did when I first started way back when. I just wish I had more time to devote to it so maybe I could actually finish a few pieces! So many hobbies, so little time! I hope you share more of your stitching!

  3. WOW! This is STUNNING Janis, what beautiful and very neat stitching, and a fabulous subject. I started doing tapestry stitching, but my MiL had to take over for me, it was too slow for me. Now if it had been by machine it may have been different hahaha

    1. I don't think I could do tapestry. Sounds really hard. But hey, at least you got your MIL started on it when you decided to not to finish it. I be it turned out beautifully. My mama used to do crewel work. I definitely don't have the patience for all those different types of stitching, but she loved it and make very large projects.
