Merry KISS-mas - PDE Linky Party

Hi, everyone! I know it's not even Thanksgiving yet, but I can't help it. I'm so excited about Christmas! Earlier this week while I was playing in my craftroom, I had the TV on playing White Christmas. Is it time to decorate yet? It will be soon.

Today starts a brand new link up over at my challenge blog, PDE Linky Party. I decided to create a little Christmas treat for this.

  • Christmas mug was a gift from my daughter, Kati, a few years ago. Isn't it festive?
  • Clear bags (Dollar Tree)
  • Hershey Kisses!
  • Red Tulle (Amazon)
  • Tag and Kisses' bottoms both from Sil ID# 52500 (print and cut)

Come on over and link up at PDE Linky Party!

Christmas Tags with a Beginner at Coloring

Hi, everyone! I made 18 Christmas tags this morning. Most of them were print 'n' cut images. Two of them were stamps I colored. Now listen, I'm new at this coloring thing. I almost didn't even post these because of the bleeding of colors into areas where it doesn't belong, but maybe, just maybe, a while from now I can look back and see how far I've come? Doesn't hurt to stay positive. :)

  • My Favorite Things Stitched Circle Nesting Dies
  • Holiday papers from Pink Paislee - Merry & Bright
  • To From stamps from Stampin' Up's past Paper Pumpkin Kit
  • Ribbon from Walmart ($1)
  • Stamped image from Pretty Cute Stamps - Cool Chick
  • Tag on the left was colored with Watercolor Markers (HSN) and blended with Aqua brush (SU)
  • Tag on the right was colored with Spectrum Noir markers

All stamps used on this project are from the same stamp set. There are tons of choices for images and words to choose from.

Thanksgiving Placecards

Hi, everyone!

Sometimes in our crafting we want to be elaborate: use lots of pattern papers, lots of layers, embellishments, stickers, buttons, twine, ribbon, glitter, etc. It's always fun. Sometimes we just want simple. That's me today. Simple, simple, simple.

I saw this cut file in the Silhouette store and knew I wanted to use it. There is a placecard base and one to two layer cuts. That's it. You can add more. Maybe some stamping, some buttons, but it doesn't need it.

This year we are having a very small Thanksgiving. Placecards aren't even needed. But they are cute. And who says we still can't use them for just us? Make the table special. Just for us.

  • Sil ID# 24132 - 3 Placecard designs
  • Alphabet stamps from Walmart (I think they were $1)
  • Foam tape to adhere images to placecards
Thanks for stopping by today. See you tomorrow!!

Pilgrim Hat Shaped Card

Hi, everyone! Welcome to Wednesday and to my blog. Do you know what's great about Wednesdays? For today it's this:
  1. It's that day of the week when we always have Chinese Take-Out for lunch
  2. Tom is working at home today in his office
  3. The weather is calming with a steady rain
  4. Bonnie is watching a Christmas movie on Netflix
  5. I'm playing in my craftroom!
If you just want to see the craft I made today, please feel free to skip this next sentence or two. If you're still reading, then don't blame me if you bust out laughing with this next part. Your mission whenever you have Chinese take-out and read the fortune cookie, always add "in bed" after whatever the fortune says. I'm telling you - it's hilarious! If that offends you, moving on........

Today's card was again simple and yet satisfying. I think it looks pretty good and the only thing I added or changed about the cut file was I added Tim Holtz Tea Dye distress ink to the edges of the cuts, moved the ban and buckle down a little from the finished sample they showed, and added an internal offset for stamping and writing a message on the inside using my Silhouette Cameo software.

  • Silhouette Software to create an internal offset for stamping and writing a message
  • Stampin' Up "Thankful Forest Friends" for sentiment
  • Stampin' Up Crushed Curry & Old Olive inks.
    • I inked the entire sentiment in Crushed Curry
    • Then I rocked the sentiment around so only the edges touched the Old Olive ink pad
  • Tim Holtz Tea Dye distress ink for edges of sentiment mat

Don't forget! This weekend I am in a THINK CHRISTMAS blog hop! Santa will be giving away a Silhouette Cameo if we have 200 followers and comments left. Woo-Hoo! Plus some of the other blogs (there are just 7 stops including me) are offering additional blog candy just for hopping along with us, being a follower, and leaving a comment. Check out more details on the Facebook Event Page. Be sure to click on GOING and INVITE all your friends so Santa can give away that Cameo to one lucky person!

Hi, everyone! Today's card is made especially for Tuesday Morning Sketches. I loved the Design Team samples on their blog today. The Robot on is my favorite!

    • Blooming with Kindsness (sentiment)
    • Rich Razzleberry ink & cardstoch along with Whisper White cardstock

This card has a few flaws, but hey, they can't all be perfect. :) I still think someone would enjoy receiving it in the mail.

Warm Winter Wishes

Hi, everyone, and welcome to November 2015! Christmas is next month! I'm so excited. I have a Winter card to share with you today. Do you guys have snow where you are? No snow here in the South, but maybe we'll get lucky and have some this year for a few hours. Because if we are lucky enough for it to snow here, it most likely would be pretty coming down, but melt immediately.

  • Pretty Cute Stamps - PCS-87 Warm Winter Wishes
  • Martha Stewart Snowflake punch
  • Silver sequins
  • Lawn Fawn - Stithced Landscapes
  • Sil ID# 98873 - A2 Snowfall Background (landscape)
  • Stampin' Up - Soft Sky ink
  • Crayola Markers (polar bear accents)
I stamped the polar bear twice. Once on white cardstock, and once on a green dotted cardstock for his scarf. He's so cute!
