This one feels like laughter you’ve heard a hundred times… and still laugh at anyway.

You know the kind—same joke, same timing, same punchline… and somehow it never gets old. Maybe it’s not even about the joke anymore. Maybe it’s about who’s telling it.

This card instantly feels like those moments—friends gathered, stories circling back around, someone grinning before they even start because you know what’s coming… and you’re already smiling.

There’s something really special about that kind of connection. The kind where repetition isn’t boring—it’s comforting. Familiar. Full of history.

This card doesn’t try to be new… it celebrates what lasts.

Moral of the story: The best memories aren’t always new—they’re the ones worth repeating.

When I was in 6th grade, 

a skating rink was built right down the street from school.

EVERYBODY went skating on Friday and Saturdays. 

I saved up enough babysitting money to buy my own skates, 

& even bought them a size too big so they would last me forever. 

And don't forget the pom poms! 

I had a pair of pink & a pair of purple pom poms on my skates. 

In in my high school years, I was still going roller skating on some weekends.  

I loved roller skating.  

I held on to my skates until I was in my 30s, 

and finally took them to Goodwill one Saturday. 

There are so many great memories of weekends 

spent there with all our friends from the neighborhood and school. 

Good Times.

Not that you wanted to hear any of that, 

but now you know something about me that I loved.

I started out with Mary's Cardz TV Sketch #50, but as I was playing with scrap papers from this paper pad, I had to adjust it a little to make the most of the scraps I was using. That's what sketches are for though, to use as they are or to inspire you to adjust and make it your own.
