You Can Do Anything

First of all, thank you for your prayers for our special needs daughter, Bonnie. She has been in poor health since last year, but it would come and go. More recently, the past few months it just seems to get worse and worse. We've been to the doctor a lot always trying different things, but none of it is has been the answer. Some of the things have helped, and she'd feel better for a while, and then worse again.

She is scheduled for an MRI later this month. Her chest x-ray from last week is normal. Her CT Scan was not. 

At this point we are trying to figure out if the masses on her liver are just cysts (if so great, but then the mystery of her poor health will still need to be pursued) .... or if it is undeterminable, then she will have to have surgery to biopsy them to either rule out or confirm cancer.

Please continue to pray for her. Some days are better than others. Yesterday was a good day. She only threw up once, and she ate a little for breakfast and lunch. That is major.

Today, not a good day so far. Lots of throwing up, stomach pain, tired, dizzy, weak....  But today is just half started, so hopefully she will feel better a little later on.

I am so tickled with this card. I love that the trees in the background are bare, the tree in the foreground that I colored has flowers, and that the sentiment says, "You are capable of great things."  It all works together perfectly.

This sketch from Try Stampin' on Tuesday was used, which by the way is a great sketch blog if you like sketches. 

 

The colors in the If You Give a Crafter a Cookie challenge were perfect for this project.

Everything is Possible (cross-stitch)

Hi all! Today I have another cross-stitch project to share with you. I'm on a roll! LOL

I started cross-stitching when I was 11 years old. There are so many projects I have created over the years.... family trees, baby blankets, pillows, Christmas Stockings, vertical wall banners, framed wall art, bookmarks, etc all with cross-stitch. I love this hobby.  It was introduced to me in Bible School when I was 11. We made a very simple design that fit in one of those tiny wooden circles. From that moment on, I've never stopped creating with cross-stitch. I've taken breaks, but I always come back to it. Cross-stitching is very relaxing, but it's definitely not the instant gratification you get from making cards. LOL

Good morning!

I have a project to share with you today that's NOT made of paper.

This is something I've spent time on and off working on. Sometimes I went for months without even touching it. Happy to say it's all done now, and I love it. 

The finished size is 16" x 14".

Challenge Myself: Annual Catalog Makes

I decided over the weekend, that I was going to challenge myself to create some of the beautiful project examples in the current Stampin' Up Annual Catalog.

Keep in mind, I don't have everything this catalog has to offer, but I feel like I can improvise with retired products or even products in my stash from other awesome companies as well. 

Now, before some of you get offended or shocked that I would even MENTION using products from other companies, let me say, I love Stampin' Up. I've been a customer with them since the early 90's. I've even been a demo a few times now and then to use my own discount to stock up on things. That being said, there are many other awesome companies out there as well who offer great products. • Retired Triple Banner Punch to punch out 2 banners using Awash in Beauty DSP
• Sentient stamped using Polished Pink ink onto Basic White cardstock
• Cherries were punched out using Hues of Happiness DSP, one leaf was punch out using Old Olive cardstock
• Punched out cherry pieces were inked around the edges using sponge daubers and inks Polished Pink & Old Olive
