Spring Card

Hi, crafters!
I am trying so hard to get back into crafting now that my area is set up.
I want to craft, but I am so.... what's the word..... missing my mojo.

I unpacked a lot of Stampin' Up stamps and Close To My Heart stamps along with papers and ink from both companies. I would love to do more stamping these days along with my die cuts and paper piecing, but I feel lost and not sure where to start.

So I did some Googling for CAS stamped cards and found this idea. I love the spot of pattern paper. That's something else I want to do more of - just using a spot of pattern paper instead of covering my cards with it.  Not because one way is better than the other, but because I want to do something different.

Where do you get your mojo and creative ideas?

To give credit where it is due, my card was inspired by Card Creations by Beth.

Countdown Frig Calendar for Bonnie

Each month we have a frig calendar with a different shape. Sometimes we do a special shape for a countdown. The planes on this calendar are counting down until our daughter, Keri, and family arrive here for a visit. Bonnie is so excited! She talks about it every day. When she's sitting on the couch, she pats the couch beside her and says, "Sissy here." Meaning she wants Keri to sit by her. Tonight at dinner, she and Tom pointed at each chair at the dining room table and Bonnie assigned seats for Keri's family when they are here. She's so cute!

In case you were wondering, Bonnie is doing American Sign Language for airplane in the photo.

I used the Cricut print then cut feature for the planes and flowers.
You can find the cuts in Design Space with their image codes:

To print and cut, select the image on your mat and click on FLATTEN in the menu. Easy Peasy.

Have a Marvelous Monday!

Chit Chat Time

You guys probably think I've fallen off the face of the Earth. I'm here. I'm good. We have been packing and making weekend trips to move what we could to the new house before moving day to ease the load. Moving day was last Wednesday, and let me tell you... we have both been griping about sore feet, muscles, and bruises... where did the bruises come from?

Anyway, we are here. I'm pretty sure all of the boxes for living are unpacked. There are several Bonnie boxes that aren't unpacked yet, but those will be unpacked onto furniture and shelves we don't have yet in the playroom.

I'm very happy with my craft space. I was worried I'd be cramped in a little corner because I really wanted to be on the main floor with the living area and kitchen. I could have had the bedroom down here or I could have had the bedroom upstairs, but my need to be where the daily action is was more powerful than having more room.

In the background of that photo, is Deanli which is 144 miles away from us. It sort of looks like clouds, but it's a mountain. Gorgeous.

Bonnie is enjoying unpacking and organizing.

We have both been saying we are not moving again or if we do someone else is doing it for us. Yeah, we've said that before. But I will note that we are hanging pictures on the wall today. We haven't done that since we lived in South Carolina at our house in North. That's a big deal. We normally don't do any wall decorating where we live because we know we are only there for a year or two and don't want to mess up the walls. So yeah, hanging pictures may be a sign. :)

I hope to get back into the crafting groove this week and catch up visiting and leaving comments on your blogs.

Have a great rest of your Sunday, everyone! Big hugs!

Hi, crafters!

Well, tomorrow is the day we move across town to a bigger place. All of my crafting goodness is packed and ready to load in the trailer tonight for the move in the morning. I'm having withdrawals.

I thought it would be fun for you guys to share with me what you have been working on or share one of your favorite projects from the past. It can be anything crafty. Crochet, painting, paper crafts, etc.

After we get moved, unpacked, and settled (probably by next week), I'll choose one or two random entries from the link-ups and send  you a little somethin' somethin' from me. (USA addresses only)

So inspire me while I'm not able to do any crafting, and SHOW OFF your new or past favorite creations!
