Swap It - State of Mind Flip Book

I love the SWAP IT group on Facebook.
This group was created by Lorrie A Nunemaker and June Arnold.
They have lots of Swap Events you can join for all different types of crafting. I think I'm addicted.

Today is the deadline to mail your "State of Mind" Flip Book to your swap partner. We were to create any type of flip book with information about the state we live in. Here is my Alaska Flip Book created with 2 envelopes.

I also included this photo my husband took of Mama Moose and her two babies that were born in our backyard.

I hope she will like this project. I'm new to the Flip Books and Pocket Letters, and have a lot to learn!

Swap It - Let's BBQ Pocket Letter

I love the SWAP IT group on Facebook.
This group was created by Lorrie A Nunemaker and June Arnold.
They have lots of Swap Events you can join for all different types of crafting. I think I'm addicted.

Today is the deadline to mail your Let's BBQ Pocket Letter to your swap Partner. Here's the one I created. Hope she enjoys it!

I used my Cricut to cut out all the shapes. The little Pig Chef is from Digital Delights by Louby Loo.  Papers from last year's July 4th scraps. I thought it would be fun to use a Red, White, and Blue color theme for this project (even though most of my white is actually off-white).

I stuffed the pockets with some balloons, ribbon, jute, tickets, washi, denim, flowers, chipboard pre-sticky works (thanks to my fab Xyron), ric-rac, and an assortment of die cuts and sentiments ready to be used on future projects.

I also included this fun card using that same DDLL piggie, and a little note on a Project Life card.
More Project Life cards and bigger sticker sheets from Mrs. Grossmans were included in the envelope that wouldn't fit in the pockets of the pocket letter.

This was a fun project. It took me a while to get my act together for where to start, but once I picked out the color scheme and papers, looked from some BBQ related die cuts and got that part done, all of a sudden it seemed easy. I guess the more Pocket Letters I make, the more I'll get better at it. Hope my swap partner likes this one from a newbie. I've only made a couple of these so far.

You are some Kind of Awesome

CTMH Happy Times Card Workshop Card #2

Before I tell you about my card, I want to say THANK YOU so much for visiting my blog and leaving me comments. I read every single one of them, and love to hear what you guys have to say. You are appreciated. Don't ever think otherwise.

Now, onto today's card.  On April 26th, I signed up with Close To My Heart. Mainly to use my own discount, but of course I love orders, helping my friends have online gatherings so they can earn free and discounted products, and love to have creative peeps join my team either to make a business or just for the discount like I did. It's all good.

This card is from a FREE workshop file provided by CTMH for the Happy Times Paper Pack and Stamp Set that they had offered for May only in honor of National Scrapbooking Month.  But don't fret, they also offer workshop card and scrapbooking guides for ALL the Pattern papers and kits they have in their catalogs. I never knew that. This company doesn't just sell you stuff that you get and then don't know what to do with. They go from store to your door to your craft room with you. It's truly refreshing and frankly, I love it.

I'm going to list the products used on my card, but just know the Happy Times paper pack and stamp set are no longer available. However, you can certainly adjust and use what you have! I switched some things up to use what I had on hand too.

Weight Watchers 2016

Join me at Weight Watchers HERE

Hi, everyone!  You guys may not remember, but I joined Weight Watchers in January of 2015, and had lost about 35 pounds. I was really happy with the results and stayed loyal to the program.... until around Oct. Then my tracking got slack, the weigh in days got skipped. That sort of thing.

Weight Watchers is always on my mind, but in a guilt sort of way since I'm not following the program. However, I still have an active account and it's time to get back into the WW routine. Gail commented on one of my blog posts recently asking if I was still doing it. Gail, this answer is YES... starting right now.  I placed an order at the online WW store for some shakes, snacks, new scale (I haven't weighed myself all year, and don't even know where the scale is since our move!) I'm hopeful that although I'm sure I've put some weight back on, I don't think I'm as big as I was when I started last year., because I'm still wearing a smaller size pants. :) So there's that. But my situation could be better. And it will be. Thanks for the encouragement, Gail, even if your question wasn't meant to motivate me, it did.

Until my new scale comes in, I have no way of knowing what I weigh right now, and I'm a little scared to find out. BUT, when I get it, I will be doing a regular post again on a weekly basis for our Weight Watchers journey.

I would LOVE for anyone else interested in joining me in this journey, to please click the link above.

ALSO, please leave comments and share your story with us.  Don't share anything you are not comfortable being public, but take a chance and share your story, or your daily achievement, or struggle, or whatever. Sometimes just saying something out loud makes it real, and makes the problem not so big, while making the achievement (like NOT grabbing that Hershey kiss and tossing it into your mouth as you walk by the chocolate dish) a great way to pat yourself on the back! Not to mention talking with someone else who is also doing WW makes us accountable to each other. That's good motivation!

See you all tomorrow. Click here to

We can do this! We know we can. And we will. Baby steps.
Change one thing about how you live tomorrow.
Skip the sweet tea and have water.
Drink a Diet Coke (0 WW points) instead of a Cocoa-Cola (9 points for 12 oz).
Take a little walk around the block.
No one is asking us to starve or run a marathon tomorrow.
Baby steps. You'll be glad you started the journey.
Or in my case, got back on the right track.

Big hugs, everyone!
We got this!
