Easy Peasy Halloween Treats!

Have you loved looking through Stampin' Up's new Holiday Mini Catalog?
Did you notice the treat bags on page 46?
I made a few of these this afternoon.
Mine are a little shorter than the ones in the catalog,
but still cute, cute, cute.

An easy, peasy project. Want to make some yourself? Here are the measurements:

Happy Hauntings Designer Series Paper (139584)
8 1/2" x 2 3/4"

Score
1/2", 3 3/4", 4 3/4", and 8"

Fold all score lines.
Fold top flaps over to show other side of Designer Series Paper.
For Solid Cardstock, cut a strip of Designer Series paper at 1/2" x 2 3/4" and adhere to top flap.

Sweet Hauntings Stamp Set (139705)
Stamp Poison Bottles on solid cardstock at bottom fold with Tangelo Twist (133646),
or with Archival Black (140931), or with Smoky Slate (131179).

Stamp Treat Tags on Very Vanilla cardstock (101650) with same inks and punch out with Note Tag Punch (135860).

Adhere tags to top of treat with staple or glue dot.

Wrap Basic Black Baker's Twine (134576) around top and tie knot or bow.

See! I told you it was easy peasy.

Weight Watchers Wednesday

Join me at Weight Watchers

How did you do last week with your Weight Watchers?
Considering all the munching I did between meals, I did pretty good.
I had a +0.2 gain, but that's okay.
Last week, I could not stop eating.
Bad, bad munchies.

Let's have a good week!
Make good choices, and if the weather is as good at your place as it is at our's, try to get outside some even if you're just sitting in the sunshine.
I love this time of year.

See you next Wednesday!

Thankful For You

I love this time of year!
It's been cool in the mornings here enough to open the doors and windows.
I find it very refreshing.

Good news! Our son has been going to truck driving school these past several weeks. Yesterday, he took his test at the Dept of Motor Vehicles, and passed. He now has his CDL (Commercial Driver's License) and will be leaving for orientation at the company he chose to work for in the next few days. It's common for driver's to have to take the CDL test more than once, so we were all very proud that he passed the first time. Of course, we sort of knew he would. He drove trucks in the Army for all those years. CDL is different, but I'm sure some of that experience and skills transitioned over.
Truck driving is something he's always planned to do once he was out of the Army. He is starting to live his dream. You know that's gotta feel good.

Does this card speak "sweater weather" to you? You can make a card just like this so easily. It's super simple. Here's what I did....

Whisper White card base is A2 size (4 1/4" x 5 1/2")
Wild Wasabi 4 1/8" x 5 3/8
Soft Suede embossed with the Stampin' Up Woodgrain folder 4" x 5 1/4"

Banner strips cut 1" wide and then punched with the Banner Triple to flag the ends.
Pattern papers from the Into the Woods DSP (Designer Series Paper)
Rich Razzleberry for the solid piece of cardstock

The image is matted with
Wild Wasabi 3 1/8" x 2 3/4"
Soft Suede 3" x 2 5/8"
Whisper White for image 2 7/8" x 2 1/2"

Images and Sentiment from Acorny Thank You stamp set
Wild Wasabi, Tangelo Twist & Crumb Cake ink pads
Sponge Dauber for green shading at bottom of image

Dazzling Details added to leafy border stamp
Bitty Banners Framelits to cut out the Thankful banner

Easy & love that fox!
The flagged banners are a great way to add some Designer Series Paper to a card to stretch it out for several projects. It's also a great way to use up those little scraps you just can't bare to throw away. Okay that's me. Is that you too?

Image matting adhered to card with Stampin' Dimensionals.

More About BCRF

The Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF) advances the world's most promising research to eradicate breast cancer. Founded by Evelyn H. Lauder in 1993, BCRF has raised more than $550 million to fuel discoveries in tumor biology, genetics, prevention, treatment, survivorship and metastasis, making it one of the largest non-governmental funders of breast cancer research in the world. This year BCRF has invested $58.6 million in research, to support over 235 researchers at leading medical institutions across six continents, including $11.6 million to the international Evelyn H. Lauder Founder's Fund focused on metastasis. By spending 91 cents of every dollar on research and public awareness programs, BCRF remains one of the nation's most fiscally responsible nonprofits. BCRF is the only breast cancer organization with an "A+" from CharityWatch, and has been awarded Charity Navigator's highest rating of four stars 13 times since 2002. For more information, please visit: www.bcrfcure.org.

Additional Details:
  • New subscribers are those who signed up between September 11 and October 10, 2015 and have not been a Paper Pumpkin subscriber at any time in the past.
  • All funds will be donated in US dollars.
  • Mini spoiler alert! The October project inside the pink box is just as awesome as always, but we should probably let you know that it is not a pink project. That's all we're saying. ;)

Watercolor Wishes Card Kit Completed & Video!

Yesterday, I spent some time at the Kitchen Counter playing with my Stampin' Up stuff so I could also be watching the Big Hero 6 movie that we had on for Bonnie. Stampin and making cards is so much fun, and relaxing, and rewarding to see the results when I'm done.

My Watercolor Wishes Card Kit came in a few weeks ago, and I made a few of them then. Now they are all completed and so stinkin' pretty!

If you are a new stamper,
this is the card kit for you.

If you are new to card making,
this is the card kit for you.

If you are a seasoned stamper, but need to simplify and get back to basics without compromising beauty,
this is the card kit for you.

Enjoy the video!

Stampin' Up Christmas Cards Play Date

Yesterday, my Mother-in-law & I sat around her dining room table
making some Christmas cards using my Stampin' Up stash.
It was so fun!
Here are some of the cards we made.

Marie, my Mother-in-law, was letting me use her as practice for Stampin' Up workshops and Classes. She's pretty cool like that.  We had a really fun time, and then went out for lunch. That's a great girls' day!

Here are the supplies I used for all these cards.
You can click on any image to be taken directly to the product in my online SU store.
Thank you so much for shopping with me!
I really appreciate your business!!
