Watercolor Wishes (Part 1)

I am so excited because my Stampin' Up Watercolor Wishes Card Kit arrived yesterday! I was so exhausted yesterday day afternoon when it came in,  I didn't even open the box. Which didn't make any sense because I had been stalking the mailbox for it's arrival. After taking a short rest on the couch, I went to my craft room to open the box just wanting to hold it in my hand and check it out. Then after removing the plastic and looking at all the pieces I thought, "I'll just make one. Then supper, then bed." I made the first one and it was so easy and turned out so pretty I thought, "One more." Because it literally took seconds. Maybe a minute. Everything you need is in the box all cut, scored, and ready to go! I ended up making three. Here they are! The first two are little 4x4 cards, and the last one is a regular A2 size.

Love, Love, Love. This card kit will make a total of  20 unique cards.

Weight Watchers Wednesday

Yep - That's me. A Yo-Yo lately.

Last Friday's weigh in had me at +0.8 pounds.

Not horrible, but gee whiz. Every other week, up and down.

While I write this, I've already lost that this week.

I think most of my problem is,

Tom has been in Canada, and so therefore I'm being

lazy about cooking and eating at regular times.

I'm working on doing better about that this week.

Don't get discourage!

I know I'll make it through this yo-yo phase,

and you can do it too.

The important thing to remember is,

You are worth it,

and You can do it.

Little Birthday Box

Hi, everyone. So glad you stopped by. Today I have a small box made from a piece of double-sided cardstock cut at 5" x 9" then scored, snipped, glued and folded. No die cut machine needed for the box. You are going to see a few projects with this same decorative paper over the next few days. I'll sprinkle them in between other projects I'll be posting. They are part of a One Sheet Wonder project collection I'm doing. If you've never heard of One Sheet Wonder, search Pinterest for it. There are various cut guides and project guides for this.

CASE Series # 5 - Teachers Give a Hoot

Are you ready for another CASE Series card? Woo-Hoo! This is fun! CASE #5 Inspiration:  Dawn's Stamping Thoughts, Bravo Congratulations Cards
This time my CASE card turned out a little more differently than the starting inspiration. I went with different stamps, colors, lace, and shapes, but at the core, you can still tell that Dawn's card inspired mine.

Otherwise, I would have been able to go by all of her measurements (that I love she always provides making our life so much easier in the craft room). CASE Series #3 - A Thousand Thanks

Finally, Friday has arrived!

Time for a brand new Linky Party theme over at PDE Linky Party, and the theme is SUNSHINE.
Themes are always open to your interpretation. Use your imagination and show us what you can come up with!
I created some simple thank you mini cards.

Where did I get this idea? Right out of the Stampin' Up catalog on page 20, bottom left corner.

Even though you don't actually see a sun on these cards, I have yellow sunshine pouring down on this floral pattern using some sponging. 

Stampin' Up's "Flowering Flourishes" stamp set for image stamped in SU "Glorious Green."

Stampin' Up's "Lots of Thanks" for sentiment stamped in SU "Baked Brown Sugar."

Sunshine created with sponge dauber and SU "So Saffron" ink.

Gold Sequin

A metal die used for the flowers. I don't remember where I got the die from, but it comes with 2 flower cuts (one large, and one small).

I left the card base open when stamping the front so that the stamp would overlay a little onto the back of the card on the outside.

The inside of the card was also stamped.

These cards measure 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" scored and folded at 2 3/4".
