Miss Kate Cuttables Design Team Day

Hello, everyone! Janis here from Pause Dream Enjoy. Today is my Design Team day to post for Miss Kate Cuttables. I can't wait to show you the project I made! But first, did you see today's FREEBIE

This is a fun and easy project to make for yourself or for someone special. It's small enough to fit on a desk, coffee table, nightstand, or anywhere else you need to reach for a tissue. You could make this for any occasion..... maybe for Secretary's Day, Teacher Appreciation Day, Boss' Day (Oct 16), or Just Because?

  • Start with cardstock 4 1/4" x 11"
  • Score longside @ 4 1/2", 7", 8", and 10 1/2"
  • Use a punch, metal die, or Silhouette Software to create an oval on the 4 1/4" x 2 1/2" section. You'll need to make the same oval in your pattern paper as well.
  • Pattern papers cut @ 4 x 4 1/2" (back), 4" x 2 1/4" (top with oval cut out), and 4" x 3/4" (front)
  • Add adhesive, fold, and adhere
  • Slip in a packet of tissues so that they can be pulled through the oval top

Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Silhouette Challenges #14 - Create your own Shaped Card

It's the time for another challenge over at

Ch# 14 Create your own Shaped Card
(No pre designed shaped card files)
Begins: Sunday, June 1
Ends: Monday, June 30

A blog dedicated to the Silhouette Cutting Machines.
You MUST use a Silhouette somehow in your project.

Sponsor this month is:

(3) Silhouette Replacement Blades

I had a ton of fun creating this shaped card to show you today!

First I created a card size I wanted to work with as if it were unfolded.

Then I chose an SVG I wanted on my card and sized it to fit.

I created a shadow with the Silhouette OFFESET feature.

Overlapped the shadow on the edge of my card front.

WELDED those together.

Then added some score marks for the card fold.

Voila!

Time to cut out all the pieces and assemble them together.

Thanks for stopping by today to see what I'm up to.

Sketch Card - Father's Day Lawnmower Watercolor

Hi, Crafters!
Today I have a very special card to share with you.
It's a SKETCH card that has been water-colored.
It's my personal card I made to give
my Daddy for Father's Day.

  • Silhouette Online Store
    • Lawn Mower ID# 45136
    • Font ID# 56447
  • SVG Cutting Files - card base
  • Pattern papers from Simple Stories (Royal Castle Shoppe)
  • Stampin' Up Aqua Pen
  • Stampin' Up inks for water-coloring
  • Tim Holtz Walnut Stain for inking edges

Do be careful of the sketch pen ink on textured paper like this.
Give it time to dry or it will smear.
Also keep the water coloring inside the lines or it may
make the lines smear with that too.

I love, love, love it.
Expect to see a lot more Cameo sketch creations
here. So fun! I love the added watercolor with the
sketch too.

Thanks for stopping by today.
Enjoy your weekend.
See you tomorrow.
