To see today's Cricut Cardz Challenge post,
please scroll down or CLICK HERE!

Can I just tell you that I am super duper extremely excited to be chosen as one of the new Design Team members for GETTING CRICKY WITH K ANDREW!!!

This is a VERY BIG DEAL to me. I just love Kristal! It's such an honor for me to be included as part of this team.  You will be seeing tons of projects featuring her CLEAR STAMPS.  One of the things I love about her stamp sets is that several of the sets are MIX 'N' MATCH. That is so cool.

Kristal donates $1 per stamp set sold to CHARITY! That means when you purchase a stamp set from her, you are helping a charity. Feels good, doesn't it?  You can see a list of which stamp set benefits which charity by CLICKING HERE.

Her stamps are made right in the USA! For more information about why her stamps are so AWESOME, CLICK HERE!

One more thing...
Our family is moving back to ALASKA this weekend.  I will be out of touch for at least a week.  However, I have several posts scheduled and ready to go live while I'm gone. Including: Getting Cricky BLOG HOP on Friday, the 19th! You don't want to miss it!!  AND  Getting Cricky SIMPLE SUNDAY on Sunday the 14th!
Hugs today from SOUTH CAROLINA.  Hugs next week from ALASKA!

Ruby Tuesday Scripture

Good morning! I am so honored to be on the Ruby Tuesday Design Team over at Dee's Bugaboo Boutique for the month of August!  Dee creates beautiful Scripture Word Art and formats them into DIGIS that anyone can download for FREE at any time.  Check back each Tuesday for the newest Scripture Word Art Creation.

Today our Scripture is Psalm 91:15
"They will call on me, and I will answer them; I will be with them in trouble, I will deliver them and honor them."

Last week I told you I decided to make an Accordion Mini Album with all the Scriptures for August.  Here's a reminder of what the Mini Album looks like:

#204
And this was last week's Scripture page:

Today, the Scripture page looks like this:

There is actually a purple border around the entire page, but for some reason when I was cropping the picture I cut off part of the right side... oopsie, but you get the idea.  DOODLECHARMS Cricut Cartridge for Sunshine page 96 cut @ 3" and again at 2 1/2". On keypad overlay Row 2, Column 5.

I hope you'll hop over to Dee's blog and download her FREE Scripture Word Art.  We'd love to see what you create with it.  Have a great day!  :) Janis

BUCKETS OF FUN!

Happy Saturday!  My husband, Tom, is running in the HOT SUMMER NIGHTS 5K run tonight in Columbia, SC.  Yeah!  Go, Tom!  I wanted to make a card with someone running, but grabbed the CAMPIN' CRITTERS cartridge instead. LOL  Oh well.  I'm still cheering for you, Tom, even if my card is more of a "let's eat" card than a "let's run in the South Carolina HEAT" card.  :)

Stopping By to Say I LOVE YOU

#208
Everybody singing now.....
It's raining LOVE, Hallelujah, It's raining LOVE....
Okay, so that's not exactly what the lyrics say, but still...

This card design is from the magazine PAPERCRAFTS July / August 2011 issue on page 58. It's called the "Hearts & Clouds Card" and was designed by Amy Wanford.  I adapted it a little, but the basics are the same. You can find out more about this magazine here:

Sentiment portion, "Stopping by to say" is a clear stamp from K Andrew Design's set "Splash-tastic Summer". I really like this set because you can mix 'n' match the sentiments to create exactly what you want to say.

You can find K Andrew Design's clear stamps here:

You can find her blog here:

Every stamp set sell contributes $1 to various charities. I love that I'm helping with a charity while getting some goodies for me too.  There is a list of which stamp set help which charity here:

Sentiment portion, "I LOVE YOU" is a wood stamp from the Michael's $1 bin. *Heart buttons & white ribbon from stash. Red gingham ribbon from Joann's.

EVERY DAY PAPER DOLLS Cricut Cartridge used for clouds cut @ various sizes and overlapped with foam tape (doubled up for extra height).  Clouds page 42 found on keypad overlay Row 2, Column 5.

Have a LOVE-ly day, everyone! :) Janis

This card design is from the magazine PAPERCRAFTS July / August 2011 issue on page 52. It's called the "Big Button Hi Card" and was designed by Teri Anderson.  I adapted it a little, but the basics are the same. You can find out more about this magazine here:

#207
Card base is Pink from Recollections cardstock pack.
Dotted paper also from Recollections.

PAPER DOLL DRESS UP Cricut Cartridge
Grass page 78 cut @ 1 1/2" and trimmed to fit horizontally.  Keypad overlay Row 5, Column 5.  I actually put a strip of paper in the Cricut to cut the grass border. By doing this, I am able to use the original cut as well as the "negative" of the leftover paper.  This card is using the negative from the left over paper.

If you have made some projects using K Andrew Design's "Splash-tastic Summer" clear stamps, please feel free to post them on my
Facebook wall for PAUSE DREAM ENJOY
or leave me a link to them in the comment section of this post.  I'd love to get some more ideas using these stamps!  And if you haven't checked out her stamps yet, pop over and take a look.  If you end up ordering, please let her know Janis from Pause Dream Enjoy sent you over. Have a Sunshiny day! :) Janis

I am so excited to be a GUEST DESIGNER for TACKY TUESDAY'S CHALLENGE this month!  Woo-Hoo!  Ruthie (September Ninth) has asked that for Challenge #9 we use
BERRY / FRUIT
and the word "BERRY" must appear on your creation.

Strawberry page 47 cut @ 4 1/4" with Shadow feature.

For the Phrase, PK-531 'Simple Sallies' 3/4" was used.

Ruby Tuesday Scripture

Good morning! I am so honored to announce that I will be on the Ruby Tuesday Design Team over at Dee's Bugaboo Boutique for the month of August!  Dee creates beautiful Scripture Word Art and formats them into DIGIS that anyone can download for FREE at any time.  Check back each Tuesday for the newest Scripture Word Art Creation.

Today our Scripture is Jeremiah 29:13
"You will seek Me and find Me when you seek Me with all your heart."

#203
I used a sketch that Mary over at CardzTV created for my card.
You can find her instructional video of how to make one like this by CLICKING HERE

Green background cut 4" x 5 1/4" and embossed with flower folder in Cuttlebug.
Dark green mats are cut @ 3 1/2" x 4 3/4" and 2 1/2" x 3 3/8".
Large white mat cut @ 3 1/4" x 4 1/2" and embossed with Swiss Dots Cuttlebug folder.
Scripture is 2 1/4" x 3 1/4".

So a couple of days after I made the project for today's Scripture, I thought wouldn't it be neat to have an accoridon album to sit on your desk or countertop, etc, with all the August Scriptures in it? So I made one. LOL  Here is the front of the Scripture accordion album:

#204
