Get Well Soon - Teddy with Flowers

Good morning, Friends! (or afternoon, or evening)

I hope everyone's weekend is going well.
My husband has been off for a couple of days and is off again tomorrow.
Yay! We always have so much fun.
We met one of our daughters and her friend at a Greek restaurant yesterday for lunch.
It was nice to spend some time together and catch up.
All of our children are so busy with their lives and families,
so spending lunch catching up always feels really good.

Today I created a card for you.
The background for this image is sponged with inks.
The image itself is colored with pencils.
Now I know there are a lot of ladies out there who work magic with
Bic markers, Copics, and Spectrum Noir pens.
But not all of us are that talented!
You will be seeing some more images and my attempts to
color with some Spectrum Noir pens I got last week.
I don't make any promises for magic to happen,
but we all start off somewhere and not everyone
can stun and amaze with their coloring skills.
I encourage you to give pens a try.
Don't feel like you have to live up to someone else's ability.
All you have to do is try and enjoy the attempt.
Life is about experiences, chances, and change.
Stretch your wings a little bit and see where you can fly.

Here is my project for today......

Image Coloring: Prisma Color Premier Pencils
Image Background Coloring: Sponged Inks
Pattern Papers: Echo Park "Summer Bliss"
Dew Drops: Skittles DoubleClick Connections AKA A Busy Bee
Sentiment: Craftin Desert Divas "Blooming For You"

Here's a close-up of the sentiment....

Thank You Teacher! (Timeless Twine Guest Designer)

Happy Saturday!
I am so excited to tell you that each Saturday in August
I have been Guest Designing for Timeless Twine!
Woo-Hoo!
How cool is that?!

I have a fun 3D School themed project

to show you today using Timeless Twine

Watermelon Sorbet.

Shop HERE.

  • Timeless Twine "Watermelon Sorbet"
  • Silhouette ID# 46877 (apple box)
  • Silhouette ID# 39232 (tab with sentiment)
  • Cardz TV Stamps - School Days

For this box, I did NOT add a clear window piece over the apple cut out. I left it open so that the teacher could slip her fingers through the apple to grab a paperclip or two.

For the sentiment tab, I stretched the size to fit the box width and also extended it's height. By extending the tab height, I was able to stamp my sentiment then score a line to fold the bottom of the tab. I inserted this folded part into the box top allowing the sentiment tab to stand straight up behind the box.

I also cut an extra piece to insert into the box bottom for a flat surface for the paperclips to rest on. Without that extra piece, the box folds had paperclips sliding under them.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Marathon Post #18 - Flower Stamping on Tags

Are you ready for a crafting marathon? I'll be posting projects throughout the day, so be sure to check my blog often and scroll down to see all the fun going on in my craft room!!

OUR LAST POST FOR TODAY! WHEW! WE MADE IT!!

These tags are pretty much the same except different colors and different sentiment stamps.

  • Silhouette ID# 42132 (set of different tags with shadow layer - Lori Whitlock file)

For the flowers, I used the same ink pad and stamped off the page before stamping the tag for part of the flower. This gives the illusion of 2 different inks used, but really it's the same ink, just faded with 2-step stamping.

I hope you enjoyed our crafting marathon day!

See you tomorrow!

Marathon Post #9 - Dog & Cat Tags using Sketch Pens in Cameo

Are you ready for a crafting marathon? I'll be posting projects throughout the day, so be sure to check my blog often and scroll down to see all the fun going on in my craft room!!

Silhouette Sketch Pens = FUN
It's fun to watch it drawing the images. We have 2 Pitbulls named Mary Ann and Ginger. (Gilligan's Island may have had something to do with that choice. LOL) They are our sweet babies. When I saw the doggie sketch file, I knew I wanted to make it, even though the sketch is not a Pitbull, he's still a cutie. Since our babies are girls, I had to put a pink lacy ribbon on this tag. (When I was growing up, I thought all dogs were boys and all cats were girls. hahaha)

For the cat lovers out there, didn't want to leave you out. Plus I love kitties too. I used colored this kitty in with purple. Hey - it could happen. There may be a purple kittie out there some where in the real world.
