A2 Card Organization: Valentine Cards (Series 1 of 5)

Happy Hump Day!

Today begins my first post in a series of A2 Card Organization. Today, and for the next 4 Wednesdays, I will be showing you Themed Boxes to organize and store your A2 size cards. This idea was inspired by my friend, Tanya, of Nonna's Craft Corner. See her post HERE.

I'm using Lori Whitlock's cut file purchased from the Silhouette Online Store Design ID #43509. It comes with the box shape cuts, the paper cuts to decorate the box and tab dividers. (Tab dividers not used today.)

Today's organizer box is for Valentine / Love Cards.

Box base using Red textured cardstock
Pattern paper from "Love Note" Fancy Pants Designs 6x6 pad
Polka Dot paper from BoBunny 6x6 pad
My Creative Time "Stitched Sweetheart & XOXO Dies"
My Creative Time "Mini Stitched Envelope Die"

Some edges inked with Tim Holtz "Tea Dye" distress ink

Peachy Keen January 2014 Stamp Kit of the Month

I'm so excited! This is the first month I've signed up for the Peachy Keen Stamp Kit of the Month. I love that it came not only with the great assortment of stamps for the Lil' Chef, but it also came with SVG cutting files to fit these stamps! What? How cool is that?!

This is also the first project I've ever tried to stamp and then paper piece using pattern papers. I know it's not perfect, but come on - it is my first try at this.... and it was fun!

Plane & Simple... I Love You

I'm excited! I've drooled over My Creative Time products for so long, and finally got to purchase for the first time last week during their blog hop and release. I'm loving these products! It's nice to have a choice of using the Cameo, Stamps, or Die Cuts and Punches and not get stuck in a rut of always using the same crafting technique day after day - yep, I'm guilty of that. Here's my card using a Mojo Monday sketch and My Creative Time stamps and dies plus a couple of Fiskar punches for the clouds and notebook edge. I hope you'll like it!

Red textured card base 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"
Pink hearts 4" x 5 1/4"
Black strip 4" x 1 1/2"
Pink hearts strip 4" x 3/4"
Spellbinders die for sky circle
Cloud & notebook edge both Fiskar punches
All pattern papers from BoBunny various 6x6 pads

Get Well Soon!

Switching gears again today to show you a card I created with Sizzix dies that I got when I first started crafting. They are over 20 years old! I just had this stored in the closet, but Stacey told me how I could use these thick die cuts in the Cuttlebug. My friends are so smart. Thanks, Stacey! I just sandwiched the thick die between to B Plates and didn't use the A Plate at all. Worked like a charm.

Black 4 1/8" x 5 3/8"
Car pattern 4" x 5 1/4"
