May Calender made with Cricut & Cameo cuts

Here is my MAY calender. I know, I'm a little late with getting it made since May has already started. But honestly, I was putting it off because I knew I wanted to use my Cameo this time instead of Designer's Calendar and my Cricut E2 like I've done so far this year. I knew switching to the Cameo would mean re-figuring everything to fit together.

We love to move around and go on adventures often. We've lived in Alaska twice and are talking about going back up there soon for a little while. So that's why I put SOUTH CAROLINA on my May calendar. When the months are over, I put my calendar pages in my scrapbook with photos from that month. I told my husband I was going to put SC on this one so years from now when I'm wondering where we were living, I'd see SC on it and know. He just rolled his eyes. LOL

I was able to find a calendar grid in the Silhouette Online Store that I downloaded for 99 cents. I didn't realize it until after downloading this that it was a Print & Cut. Oh well.  I used some Silhouette software MAGIC and created a cut for it using the TRACE and OFFSET features. I love my Silhouette software and Cameo.

I could have used any font on my computer to cut out the numbers and day of the week abbreviations, but that's probably my least favorite part of making these 12x12 calendars. That's why I just hand wrote those parts.

I used a combination of die cuts from various sources, and I'll give you all the details below. Be sure and notice the 2 1/2" x 11 1/2" strip of paper down the left side. That strip of paper is from Jinger Adams "Sweet Tart" 12x12 pack. Boy these are some pretty papers. Some even have glitter on them like this stirp does!

Okay, here's all the details on my May 2013 12"x 12" wall calendar...

  1. What a fun project and so cheerful with all the flowers. I now have a Cameo and you have just given me a great idea for little gifts for Christmas for those people that you want to give a little something to but they aren't family or even close friends. Thanks for joining us at Sugar Creek Hollow.
    Hugs!
