Something to CROW About

What beautiful weather and a fun day it has been today. First it was all sunshine and roses, and a few minutes ago the thunder booming and rain began. I love thunderstorms!

Our Walmart has re-vamped their very limited scrapbooking area at my local store. They have added lots of new papers in different sizes ranging from $3 pads, $5 pads, and $10 pads. Yeah!

I've seen several of you out there using clothespins to wrap your twine and ribbon around. I watched one of Dawn's videos on YouTube this morning from 4 years ago where she was wrapping twine around a clothes pin. I decided I would try this to see if it makes everything less messy and requires less space. I've only just begun, so not sure yet what the outcome will be, but I'll keep you posted.

Lettering Delights has some SVG cut sets on sale for $1.00! Woo-Hoo! I love Lettering Delights, so I went over there to check it out. I spent $13 on some fun cut sets and then counted up the individual Cut Images.  I think it came out to about 202 images to cut out. Can you believe that?! Before I got my Cameo, I was a little concerned that it may be hard for me to afford to re-stock on cuts again. It took me about 3 years to accumulate Cricut cartridges to the point I felt like I had everything I needed and then some. Well, I'm happy to report that it's been a breeze accumulating SVG and Print & Cut files for the Cameo. One reason is that you can subscribe to the Silhouette Online Store by paying a certain amount, but getting much more to "spend" in their store each month. I love that. Plus there are so many SVG sites out there offering FREE daily or weekly cuts. And Lettering Delights has sales now and then... the list goes on and on. All of that to say, I'm very happy with how easy it's been to accumulate cuts for my Cameo. It's so nice to spend $1 here and $5 there to buy exactly the cut I want instead of buying a whole cartridge because I like several of the cuts, but not all.

The Lettering Delights Sale on SVGs ends Tuesday.

One of the new SVG cut sets I bought today from Lettering Delights was the RISE AND SHINE set. So cute! You can see that set... HERE.

Here's the card I made with it....

  7. Hi Janis!!
This is a great idean on organizing your twine!! I started using those little plastic bobbins you can buy in the embroidery thread section at Joann's, and then I have a box with little sections that I can place all the bobbins in by color family, that way I can find what I need quickly. I need to post a pic on my blog, but I am still winding bobbins...Lol Great job on your card. I love the sun!!
