Women Are Like Teabags... MFPS Project

Crafting For All Seasons Ch# 28... Click Here

Good afternoon! What a nice day we are having here at our house. If I could just get my throat to stop hurting, things would be simply perfect. :)

The card I want to show you is a little different style that what I normally create. As usual, I got up this morning, checked my emails, checked the social stream on Facebook (don't want to miss any important family news since that's where we tend to find out everything LOL), and then went to Feline Playful to check out all the challenges going on that started today. Do you like entering challenges? I love the index site at Feline Playful. All the challenges are listed by day of the week they start and then they have codes by them so you can see at a glance some of the challenge rules for the site. Whoever put this together did a fab job doing it.

So.... after checking out all the challenges that started today, I made a list and create the card I'm about to show you.  I used all MARK'S FINEST PAPERS AND STAMPS image and sentiment stamps. It's from the stamp set "RELAX A BIT".

RELAX A BIT
MARK'S FINEST PAPERS AND STAMPS
My friend, Sharon @ MeeMee's Creations, has this stamp set too, so I'm really interested to see what she creates with it! Would you guys like your very own Mark's Finest Papers & Stamps Stamp Set? You would? Hmm.... :)  I'll be giving away one of their FAB stamp sets in JUNE, so check back with me on June 5th to see how you can win. Not sure yet if I'll do a challenge to enter or just leaving a comment to enter... what do you think?

Ready to see my card?

Going Buggy!

If you are looking for the personal challenge between my friend, Susan and I.... click here.

Project # 243 of this year
One of the fun memories I have from growing up is the camping trips we would take with all our aunts, uncles, grandparents, and cousins. We used to have a BLAST! We would go camping at Rocks Pond a lot, and I remember the mosquito truck going up and down the camping rows spraying mosquito spray.  Since that time, Rocks Pond has been destroyed by some hurricane weather, but it is mending and re-growing trees again. It looks totally different today than it does in my memories and in our old family photos.

This is page 2 of the mini album I started yesterday. On the front of the pages, I'm creating them using different themes from several different challenge blogs. I'm leaving the backs of the pages blank so I can just journal what's going on in our life these days.

The yellow eyelet you see on the side of this page is actually over 2 years old! I remember being so excited to finally get a Crop-a-dile and bought tons of eyelets. I think I have 3 left now. Wow. Time to go re-stock on those soon.

I also tend to hoard googlie eyes. I just love them! I'll buy different sizes of them and love using them this way on my projects. LOL

Thanks for stopping by!! If you have a challenge blog, leave me a comment with the link... I may come and play there too!

  • Mini album page from ELEGANT EDGES p. 37 "Stamp" Oblong cut @ 4 3/4"
  • D'vine Swirls Cuttlebug embossing folder for background
  • CAMPIN CRITTERS Frog p. 23 cut @ 3"

Mini Cards with Action Wobbles!

Need a very simple card idea? I've got one for you today! This layout idea came from Christel @ Scrappin Sista. You can visit the post that inspired my cards below by clicking HERE. I just LOVE how she did her cards, so I copied the idea, tweaked it a little to my personality, and voila! So easy! You can make several of these as thank you notes, or just say hi cards, or even as a gift set for a birthday, etc.

Projects # 219 through 226
I made a set of 8 of these. Super easy - used up some scraps too, so that's always an added BONUS!

The layout for the cards is all the same measurements, just added different stickers and sentiment stamps.

And of course they are all on ACTION WOBBLES!

Not only do Action Wobbles add a very nice dimension / 3D look to the cards, but they WOBBLE too! FUNNESS!!

Be sure and check out the supply list at the end of this post. You can click on any item and be taken to the store where I purchased it, or to the direct link of that manufacturer. Happy shopping! :)

You Have A Friend In Me

Cardz TV Challenge #9... Click HERE
PDE Challenges #21... Click HERE

Happy Sunday to you! I have a card I made this morning for some challenges going on, but first I want to share a few photos of our fun yesterday in Virginia.

We had a great time visiting family in Virginia. We went to celebrate the high school graduation of one of our nephews and help give him a great send off into joining the Air Force. We went canoeing down a river for about 2 hours. Tom, Bonnie & I were in the canoe together, and we had a blast. Thankfully we did not tip over although one of the canoes in our group did. We went through mild rapids, got soaked down one of them, and was stuck on a rock for a little bit. There was kickball, soccer, grilled food, cake, stories and catching up with family, and just a really good time.  Here are a few pics...

Okay... so on to the crafting part of this post...

For Cardz TV Stamps Ch#9, "Say I Do"... You Are Here

Welcome to Cardz TV Stamps Ch#9!! This challenge is "Say I Do" and Mary has asked us to Create a card, favor or craft project for an engagement or wedding shower or wedding.  Mary will be choosing 1 winner who will get to select 1 of her CTV Stamp sets as the prize! Yeah! Mary will post the winner on Monday the 28th. Good luck!!

For my card, I tried really hard to create something serious or elegant or you know... grown up.  LOL I'm sorry. I just couldn't do it. It's not my style. So after struggling trying to create something that's just not me, I decided to just be myself and create something that makes me smile. I figure if it makes me smile, it's sure to make at least one other person smile too, right? I hope so.  Here's my LOVE card...
