Good morning all my awesome bloggy & crafting friends!
It's Sunday, so that means there is a brand new challenge starting today over at

I am so honored to be a new member of this talented Design Team! Yeah!

Michelle from Queen Of My Craft Room has decided for this challenge we all need to make a Valentine card for our Sweetheart. Awwww. What a fun challenge!

Here is the card I made for my Sweetheart:

Project #50 of this year
Okay, so my sweetheart I'm giving this one to is our special needs daughter, Bonnie. :)

Here are all the details of how you can make a card just like this one:
Cardbase is red Recollections A2 size (5 1/2" x 4 1/4")
Black background mat (Recollections)
cut @ 5 3/8" x 4 1/8")
Red background mat cut @ 5 1/4" x 4" from My Mind's Eye Everyday Flair 6"x6" pad.

Green dotted background mat cut @ 4" x 2" from My Mind's Eye Happier 6"x6" pad.

Let me just interrupt myself right here to say that I am LOVING these new 6"x6" double sided pads! Oh my gosh!

Buttons from Hobby Lobby adhered with Glue Dots.
Flower from Prima. Dew Drop for center of flower from Michael's. All adhered with Glue Dots.
Ribbon from Hobby Lobby.
Black border (Recollections paper) punched with Fiskar's Treading Water punch.

Adorable Ladybug from CREATE A CRITTER
cut @ 1 1/2".

The adorable sentiment stamp is from Mary's CARDZ TV STAMPS "Going Buggy".
(You have GOT to hop over and check out all her new releases! Oh my funness! I love these springy-type stamps!!)

I'm so proud of myself! I have been really enjoying and loving all the sentiment stamps that I am seeing crafters stamp in color. I normally stamp my sentiments in BLACK with StazOn ink, but the sentiments stamped in color are different and add a little more to the creation. So I actually used a STAMPIN' UP GREEN ink pad to stamp my sentiment! I'm so proud of myself. LOL I think it looks good stamped in green.

Take a minute to hop over and visit Michelle @ QUEEN OF MY CRAFTROOM and play along in this challenge with us! We'd love to see the card you create for your sweetheart!

Ladybug hugs! :) Janis
